They arrived on time and got right to work. Everything cleared out of the living and dining room already for them. They spent about 15 minutes cleaning my carpet. I saw no steam! I felt no heat or warmth. The carpet was still dirty when they left! I called to complain and was told the owner would return my call. He never did. So disappointed in their last cleaning. We paid almost 1600 which I thought was a lot but if they did a good job it would of been fine. We had several overstuffed chairs and a couch that needed to be cleaned and deodorized. I was suspicious because the two guys were not here that long. We also had some rugs cleaned. The chairs as well as the ottomans did not seem clean to us and still had an oder. I called that afternoon to ask for them to be redone. They came back the next day, they did not do-over, all they did was spray with a odor remover. The manager of the nashville location just called me after I wrote the above review and made it right! I had used Stanley Steemer last year and the man that came out was wonderful! He did a thorough job, offered additional services, etc. I was very pleased. Fast forward to this year and I scheduled again for cleaning. This time it was complete opposite. The guys rushed! Carpet still looks dirty like they made little effort. I mentioned the previous man offered additional services they didn't see to care. I made it easy on them as 2 pieces of furniture I didn't have them move then they charged me for a tiny area that was smaller than the size of the furniture they didn't move area. The guy last year sold me a wonderful spot remover and demonstrated use on my carpet which I think helped lift the stains. the guys this year handed me the bottle and didn't use on carpet and stains still there after they "cleaned"... one guy sat in driveway smoking didn't seem like he wanted to be here. not the same service I received last year. so disappointing!! Recently had beige carpet in family room 13x17 and small hall 5x9 cleaned by Stanley Steemer. Price quoted was $60.00 and $24.00 respectively but had to pay their $99.00 minimum. The technician spent the first five minutes explaining that results are not always what we might expect. I should have listened to him and stopped right there but decided to go ahead anyhow. My bad! The final results were much,much less that I anticipated. The technician explained that this was because of high foot traffic which was hard to understand as the area was immediately in front of couch and love seat where we merely sit with feet planted on the floor. The next cleaning will not be with Stanley Steemer. I think I'll call Chem Dry and see if we can get better results. read more

Put my house up for sale in July and had Stanley Steemer from Smyrna come out to do 4 rooms. They were there less than 45 minutes. We had completely emptied our house, so there were no animals occupying the house, yet we got a complaint from a prospective buyer that the pet odor in our house was unbearable (we had also paid for deodorizing). So we rented a cleaner and did the job ourselves...the amount of cat hair that came up was mind blowing...there's NO WAY our rooms had been cleaned. So...over $700 spent for NOTHING. Not only will we not use them again, we'll tell everyone we know to stay away. What a rip off. And before you assume we were slack in how we cared for our pets, rest assured they weren't allowed free run of the house to eliminate where they chose...dogs were taken out every 2 hours (even at night...ugh) and cats had 2 Litter Robots in a 1900 sq ft home that was maintained constantly. read more

They were to arrive at 9, no one at 9:30, called them, and was told that they give windows of arrival and that they should arrive between 11-1. Then I was called and told that they were still at their first appointment and had another before they could get to our appointment putting them well after 4. I was willing to reschedule until they told me that there was nothing available until next week which wouldn't work for us. I wasn't offered the possibility of a cancelled appointment this week and taking that which could have worked. I will likely call another company next time. read more

They show up the morning of the cleaning and tell me, the quote is wrong. it will actually be nearly FOUR times the quote, for only part of the job. So disappointed. This morning, I had the worst experience I've ever had with this company. I have been using this company since 2003 because they usually do a good job and seem reasonable. Well, not any longer. They changed ownership 2 months ago and are trying to charge me over 220.00 more this year that what they charged last year (and all previous years) for the same EXACT area. The most I paid was 204.00 last year and the year before that was 159.00. The previous franchise owner would value my business and give me discounts each year. The new owners have completely different pricing and state that the previous owners were doing their jobs correctly and were under charging. I spoke to the manager, Shane who doesn't know who the customer is and wanted to argue as opposed to find a solution. I mentioned writing a negative review to which he said "go ahead". He was only willing to discount the total cost down to 330.00 which was still 126.00 more than I've ever paid. I would STAY AWAY from this franchise as there are many others in the Nashville area who charge less with the same quality work. They will learn their lesson soon! read more

Caveat Emptor. I received the same quote for tiles cleaning every time I called(3 times). However, my husband was charged more than quoted. When I called to question the discrepancy, I was told a manger would contact me. No manager called but the workman did call me and said that the kitchen counted as more than 1 room and explained the upcharge to my husband. My husband was told payment was needed before service upfront and no itemization was explained or provided. I was clear about the surface area and don't appreciate additional charges being worked into the price after the fact. read more

Wow! First of all, our carpets (a bunch of berber and one room of crazy-thick, soft and fancy I-don't-know-what-it's-called) and two area rugs look amazing. I showed the Met Me At The Door, Friendly Explainer, House Tour technician (as opposed to his partner, the Friendly Introduction, Got Right To Work, Goodbye With A Smile technician) a few Ew! spots (a rough, crunchy patch on our thick bedroom carpet, some very heavy traffic stains in doorways, and a few serious stains of unknown origin in our tween daughter's room (actually, I knew the nail polish wasn't going anywhere) that needed special attention and confirmed that what we ordered on the website matched his copy of our order. It did. Throughout the tour, he evaluated the stains: the crunchy patch in the bedroom was iffy, but he'd try _______ on it. Nice! We scheduled the first appointment of the day, so our "window" was just two hours, but ended up being 30 minutes, and that was because of the rush hour traffic from Nashville to Franklin, which they called to let us know. I camped out in our master bathroom, with breakfast and a long to-do list, but I didn't have time to get much done. They were thorough, but fast! I was very impressed, however, we had everything except for the heaviest pieces of furniture off the carpets. If they have just one thing (or pile) to move out of the way, it makes their job more time-consuming. Lecture over! Our technicans were Brian McCord and Tyler Tatum. We scheduled carpet cleaning service on June 29 for over a million dollar brand new house. I and my wife were at closing table and we had a help at home to open doors for the cleaning team. They showed off and I received a few calls for offering additional services which I accepted. There are two people one male and one female. Female dropped and flushed her female hygienic products in the upstairs toilet and caused major pluming problem at home. Her excuse for her action, she did not found out trash container at the toilet which again is brand new house and was all empty at the time. I called and talk to 800 number and lady named Rhonda told me her manager will call me back. It has been over a week and I did not received call and the pluming issues has not been resolved yet. As much as I was disappointed with the service provided, Stanley Steemer got back to me in an attempt to set things right. They worked with me to schedule a new carpet cleaning appointment that would not incur any cost. The technician (Dave) called before arrival and showed up when he said he would. In contrast with the previous crew, Dave was very polite and appeared to me to be very eager to provide good service. He exceeded our expectations and provided the type of service we have seen in past services. Furniture was moved this time and several areas received extra attention. Horrible service. First, they were late and never called to say they were on the way. Hardwood floor cleaning was ok.......nothing to write home about. Carpet cleaning was a disaster. The furniture was never moved. I happen to walk into our computer room and my shoes squished into the carpet. I asked the young man to go over the carpets again (2 rooms and 2 flights of stairs) because all were still sopping wet. He did, but nothing changed. There was a desk chair in the computer room that was put back on the really wet floor and the wooden legs were being soaked by the water. After they left, we had to get out our shop vac and sucked up more water. Then got fans going in both rooms. It took about 18 hours for the carpets to dry. We got the impression that neither of the two young men knew what they were doing. We paid over $900.00 dollars to have the service clean our floors. Horrible customer service. Local office doesn't answer their calls. You will get routed to FL, OH, AZ. They came out to clean and seal the tile. They did not bring the seal with them, but it didn't matter because they told us they couldn't seal tile that is less than .5 inches apart after they got to the house. We thought we would just seal it ourselves after they cleaned it, but they didn't get it clean! They told us hard water stains and hairspray couldn't be cleaned. They took the money and I called customer service. They were supposed to send another team out the next day and we were never called back nor did anyone come out again. It has been 2 weeks and no one has called us back. I called Monday, sent an email Tuesday, called today and still can't get anyone local or anyone to call back. BEWARE! This one had a clear expiration date on it, a good month in the future - -so I called again. Once more I was told the coupon had expired, and I was quoted a higher price. When I pointed out the ad had just arrived today and did not expire for another month, the manager was called in. He would agree to honor the coupon, and I set an appointment, but then I was told that no furniture would be moved; they would "go around it." What good will that do if you want your carpet cleaned professionally and better than you could do it? I can go around furniture -- and I do not have that much furniture to scoot over (a couch, 2 chairs, 1 table, 2 study chairs, a bed, and 2 bedside tables. Needless to say, I will find someone else. Very good on-line scheduling system, technicians arrived during the stated time window, were courteous and efficient and did a good job. The estimate was as stated with only additional costs for deodorizing and scotch guard which were offered when the service was provided. The only recommendation I would offer is that the technicians wear foot covers--seemed odd to me that that would not be requirement. read more

Used about a week ago, 2 guys on time, equipment started malfunctioning right away, noticed the tubing was taped together! Then, one guy asked to use my bathroom, and he didn't come out! Stayed about 1/2 hour, said he was sick...should have stayed home! After they left, found areas they had missed, and had put a metal bench back on the wet carpet that left rust spots! They arrived about an hour late, but I was notified that they would be late. I was satisfied with the cleaning, however, only ONE of the two workers actually worked. The other person was just standing around in my home, AND I actually caught him red-handed snooping in my purse and going through my wallet. Thank goodness, since I caught him, he didn't actually steal anything. I called Stanley Steemer minutes after the two of them leaving my home to report the incident, and have yet to hear back from any management. I live in Spring Hill, TN. For a hardwood floor cleaning of an area of approximately 350 square feet, we were charged $300. The result after the cleaning looked no better or different than if we had mopped it ourselves with regular floor cleaner. There are entire areas that were completely untouched The crew, Michael and Abel were on the job no longer than 1 hour for $300. This happened on Tuesday. I have been waiting for a manager to return my call to customer service since then. There is basically NO customer service. Your call is routed to a call center and you are told a manger will return your call in 48 hours. This is the opposite of customer service. If I was upset 2 days ago, how much angrier am I now that 2 days have passed with no response? This is a ridiculous scam. Do not patronize this business under any circumstances. I should have used a local service that would have the integrity and common sense not to give themselves a bad name in a small town and jeopardize their reputation. read more
