I just got a quote for cleaning our concrete tile. Stanley Steamer said (on the phone) it would be $.50/sq ft. They get here and the price is now $1.00 a square foot. They explain that it is high because they have to clean all the grout. Fine. How much is it to not clean the grout? $1.00/ sq ft. I'm pretty sure my tile didn't even cost $1.00/sq foot, installed. This is my go to carpet cleaners. My daughter and her husband own 3 dogs and we found a house for her to live in. We waited to have the carpets cleaned until they were really bad. Took about 2 years. And a lot of puppy pee during this process. The carpets were not new when we bought the house so we decided to call now and have them cleaned including stairs. The guys were VERY nice and I loved that I could pick what I wanted done online. But the price was insane. I was quoted something different online then what I was charged. Also, carpet cleaners usually do little runner carpets for free. Stanley will charge you. First time I used them bc my usual guy was booked. I expected to pay a little bit more this time since I needed a couch done but for my tiny living room, family room and hallway which is maybe 800sq ft all together IF that and a couch they charged nearly $500. I couldn't believe it. My normal guy told me later he usually charges about $260 for what they did. I definitely got ripped off. Be careful. Just had my grout and tile cleaned by Stanley Steemer and they did an excellent job! We have light tile and grout and I thought it was beyond repair, but they were able to get most stains out and bring it nearly back to the original condition. Worst company and customer service EVER! Would give 0 stars if possible! Will waste your time, do a terrible job and not even care! Last time they cleaned my carpet the stairs were soaking wet and my house smelled musky for almost THREE WEEKS! I was told this time they would make up for it and not charge me to deodorize all areas. That is a lie! They will quote you on the phone one price then jack up the price as soon as they get to your house! Then will claim whatever was promised to you was "not in their notes" so they refuse to do what was quoted for the price quoted! I found out these guys work on commission so they will jack the price up as much as they can! I sent one smokey smelling worker away, called the the office to complain and was told another cleaner would come out and do what was promised. Nope! Same crap different dude! Sent him away too! What is wrong with these people! Wasted my whole day waiting around for these scammers for nothing! Terrible terrible service from a terrible terrible company!! read more

Cant say Ill ever use Stanley Steemer again. To tell you a little about the experience, I called to ask if i needed to move furniture before they came and the person on the phone assured me that the cleaners would be able to take care of that. Super, this seemed really easy! I met the cleaners at my house and returned to work, they assured me that this was fine and they would clean and lock up. I returned an hour later and they had packed up and left already, both the couches and my bed had not been moved and cleaned under despite me asking them if they would move the furniture and clean prior to leaving them in the house. I immediately called the stanley steemer line and they contacted the guys and had them come back to the house to clean the areas they had skipped. For the most part the carpet is clean, though i can still see quite a bit of cat hair so Im not sure they did a very good job. The second time they came out they were in the house for less than 45 minutes. Im not convinced that I couldnt do a better job with a rental machine from the grocery store. Do yourself a favor and go with someone other than stanley steemer. read more
