I hired them to clean my air ducts and carpets, and they did an excellent and very thorough job. Their guys were very professional, careful, and polite. They sent a crew to my house within one day of my call and showed up within the time window they promised, which is rare these days. They moved furniture as needed and went above and beyond to make everything easy and seamless. The specialized truck they used to clean the air ducts was impressive and powerful, leaving them as clean as when they were new. The carpets also looked as good as new. I would highly recommend Stanley Steemer to everyone, especially for air duct cleaning. Had Stanley Steamer come out to do my father-in-law's carpet in the whole house. At the time I felt that I could walk away and let the person do their job in a honest and professional manner. After the person was done I went into my bedroom to find that a whole pill bottle of Xanax was taken, This is medication that I used to go to sleep at night. I later discovered that my deceased wife's wedding ring was taken. I was upset by the pills being taken but when I saw that my wife's ring was taken I was heartbroken. I called Stanley Steamer to have them investigate but was surprised that all they did was talk to the tech and not look in his vehicle or investigate further. They made me feel like an senile old man. All I wanted was my deceased wife's ring back and to forget that this ever happened. I requested to have two bedrooms carpets cleaned and deodorized along with having tiled floors cleaned. When I saw that the two most dirty areas of the carpets still looked dirty they said it was due to wear. I have only lived in the home for 1 1/2 years. How much wear can they get in that amount of time? Regarding the tile, after completion, they showed me the tile and the main dirty areas were still there. They said that there was just too much dirt in the grout to get out. They did offer a service that would make the grout all the same color but of course it cost a significant amount more. After they left, I noticed dirty boot tracks on the tile from the area at the back of my place to the front door. They didn't wear covering over their boots. On a positive note, the two men were very friendly and wanted to please. The carpeted area smell some better. read more

We hired this Stanley Steamer to clean the vents of our house. It was a disaster. The two men had no experience what so ever. Instead of vacuming the dirt from the vents, they used a blower and all the dirt and bacteria fell in the house. The whole house was polluted with soot and debris. the walls and furniture got filthy not to mention the air in the house made us very sick for two weeks. I will never hire them again. They also damaged the AC which got full of debris. They charged us over $600.50 for doing a horrible job. We paid them because they made threats. This was a nightmare. Not all Stanley Steemer duct cleaning services are created equal even though they are a franchise operator supposedly using a state of the art process under negative pressure and never exhausting into your home as purported by Stanley Steemer brand. Had a fabulous experience in Wake Forest area of North Carolina. Had a horrible experience with Fort Myers Stanley Steemer!!! Ft Myers Duct Cleaning process will NOT extract the contaminated air and debris from the supply side of your HVAC directly via an 8" vacuum hose under negative pressure, powered by and connected to units in their truck. Instead they daisy chain two hepa filter units with a "filter/dust bag" between an 8" hose from a supply vent and the intake of the hepa filter (powered by an outlet in your house and which doesn't even contain charcoal filters), and proceed to exhaust the "clean air" out the other end of the hepa filter into your indoor air!!!! They don't even bother to use another hose on the exhaust side of hepa filter to exhaust outside!!! Absolutely disgusting! And the manager of their air duct cleaning service offered to take $50 off of my $600 bill and tried to justify why he was entitled to send whatever type of Chucky felt like to my house instead of a truck that would provide the process that I specifically requested i.e. a truck under negative pressure with all of the contaminated air and debris being extracted directly into their truck. He had the nerve to tell me he saves that 8" negative air vacuum truck for commercial jobs and sends the other 3 trucks around as I described above for smaller residential jobs. He told me most customers don't ask for a certain process... I told him I did ask for a specific process not knowing he only had 1 truck capable of performing it and he failed a) inform me and b) failed to deliver what I paid for. Eddie and Pierre the technicians were very nice and I feel bad for them working for a manager and an air duct division in Ft Myers Stanley Steemer with no values or service ethic. I am an industrial hygienist focusing on indoor air quality and water systems by training and know what service and process I was expecting. I don't care who certified his process, it's not the service I requested or the process headquarters advertises. I expect a full refund and hope others will be aware that you are likely NOT going to have air duct cleaning under negative air pressure with air contaminants being extracted directly out into the truck!!! Totally dissatisfied customer annoyed that this manager was arguing with me why it was OK for him to use this van and process on my house and not the process I requested. I can't trust him to send the proper equipment for the truck-based vacuum process I specifically requested. Why should I trust that he properly maintains the hepa filters and equipment he did send? Would NEVER use this franchise for duct cleaning given his terrible customer service skills and this experience. Will be following up with headquarters as a next step. read more

We had area rugs cleaned and they did not do under it, and said it doesn't get dirty under a rug.... The whole thing was nuts, manager tried to talk to his GM but the GM was fine with charging what they did,,, Price went from $1950 to $4055..... Yeah I lost out on $2000 and they had me because I could not call anyone else to get it done before we moved in,,,, But I guess they will be losing More then that because they will never get a referral from me and anyone who asks will know to Avoid this company !!! The price we were qouted on the phone was nearly doubled when George arrived. Apparently the floor of a shower stall is not included as part of the bathroom floor and the you can't just have the shower floor cleaned, you have to have the stall. This meant that two shower stalls and a stair landing was about the same price as the kitchen, living room, dining room, master bath, lav, hall and laundry room. The 3 additional areas cost the same as the original 7 areas. Definitely the impression of a bait and switch. Although George was polite, I had to ask him to use full strength power on the steamer, which proved it would work and yet George continued to be concerned. He would not believe what he saw. He did not move any furniture although he claimed he did and he saturated our living area floors and let the water stand on the tile while he cleaned the bathrooms. This left our felt furniture pads soaked as well as posed a slipping hazard. When I called the Fort Myers location to tell of my concerns, the customer service rep gave me their boiler plate, twice. The workers at the Stanley Steamer Fort Myers hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see. We will not be hiring them in the future. read more

Wowza, called yesterday and they came today! Two person team of Michael and Jason were incredible! They were at my 2300 sf house about 2.5 hours. I had 3 rooms of carpet cleaned, two area rugs cleaned, multiple rooms of tile cleaned and a sofa cleaned! Such care was given to my home. When they began their service, they invited me to come inspect the first room to make sure it was to my satisfaction. They asked me if any certain areas of floors and furniture require special attention. They used bumper guards to ensure that the hoses weren't hitting against the baseboard. I couldn't be more satisfied. Michael was so respectful to me as well as his colleagues on the phone, "Yes, ma'am," "No, sir." - Manners that I haven't heard in a long time. The cost of their service may sound expensive, but it is so worth it. My bill was just about $1,000. Be sure to go to valpak.com and look for coupons. It will save you a little money. Have used this company at home, but never for tile floor.It was recommended by a friend that my tile would look like new. They came out and at my home for a couple of hours and appeared to know how to do their job. But I was a little disappointed that the grout lines in the places did not look like new as the ad claims that they would. The tile itself was clean, and the price was a bit high, but for an additional amount of money $1200 we were told they could make it look like new but that was in addition to the money already paid. They cleaned some furniture and did a good job with that but it had an odor, I was also told that would be an additional charge also to deodorize. I guess they do things differently in Florida, in MI the cleaning of furniture includes deodorizing. I dont know if I would use Stanley Steamer again? Maybe read more

They came and cleaned the carpets in our house. They also sprayed a deodorant I think around after the carpet was cleaned. Immediately after their departure in of out two large fish tanks began foaming with bubbles. The fish started to go into shock. We moved the fish to the other large tank and we able to save five and lost two. We called them about the problem. The office sent the lead back to our house. He looked at the tank and said to my wife that the tank was like that when they arrived. Just a note. We have had fish in 55 & 75 gal tanks for over 36 years. These fish we all fed and checked in the hour before their arrival. Not our first rodeo. I took a sample of the water to the Crystal Dr office for their inspection. I was told I would have to have it sent some where for Analysis. That was it. No sorry, we will look into it nothing! Never have I felt with such arrogance and lack of customer relations. I didn't want money or a discount. Just man up that you accidentally sprayed some deodorant in the tank and apologize. So. I make it a point to never use this location. I recently hired Stanley Steamer to clean the grout on my tile floor. The floor grout was totally transformed into a mess. Management told me this was due to a certain paint used by the previous owners. They recommended having the grout repainted. I'm not a flooring professional, so why did the crew not cease "cleaning" the floor after they ruined all the paint. Very disappointed. Please don't use this company. Photos attached. I paid Stanley Steemer almost $500 for their service. They do not guarantee their work, so a refund is not available. Please use a different professional to work on your floors. Their carpet cleaner created RIPPLES in my carpet and when I complained, they cut the larger ripples out leaving obvious cut marks and left the smaller ones to trip on. When I complained again, they claimed my carpet was worn which it is NOT! I'm the only one who used the carpet and in stocking feet! I had a very bad experience with them and they refuse to even refund me! Essentially I paid them $313 for a small job, not entire house, to get my carpet damaged! Also they don't honor their coupons!
