This very busy pub has a great selection of food at amazing prices…read more The outside looks nice, with its floral decorations and very traditional styling. The inside is tired and in desperate need of decoration, but to be fair this place is all about serving great value food and drink to a high volume of customers. It's noisy, bustling and the tables are turned faster than anywhere else I have visited. £18:50 got us two large starters, two fish and chips and a couple of drinks. The food arrived in no time and we were out of the door in well under an hour. It's not an unforgettable pub, but it is one of the less remarkable in the town in my book - although it's always busy so maybe I'm missing something. The main selling point of this place is undeniably the fact that it has benches outside the front door, practically on the road (seriously, if a car mounts the kerb you're a gonner) enabling you to watch the historic market town go about it's business, something which few other pubs round here can boast. Sitting out the front is a rare pleasure that makes the Thee Horseshoes a fairly good place to be on a rare sunny day. Aside from that, it's a very average pub and has everything you'd expect - because it's usually so busy, the atmosphere is better than most other Otley pubs too, which is a bonus.
