A really different kinda beer joint at the Stanley Marketplace. You pay when you walk in and they give you a tap card, pre paid like a tab, and you self serve with the drinks. You seat yourself too. They have margaritas, ciders, beers, all kinds of good stuff. Today we ordered just a couple appetizers: pretzel bites and truffle fries, along with the Cadillac margarita and a cider. The margarita was sweet and we didn't taste much alcohol. The cider was refreshing. Truffle fries were the best I've ever had. The cheese dip with the pretzels was a little bland but not awful. Servers brought the food to the area where we sat. We may have just had some tough luck when trying to find a place outside, because lots of the picnic style tables were reserved for retirement or other types of parties. I didn't love how they asked for a tip when they swipe your credit card at the beginning. You get the drinks yourself and the servers do bring your food to you, but seating is Willy nilly, and they don't clear plates away when you are finished. Also, our small party tried to grab seating at the end of two different large and mostly empty tables (aside from the reserved parties) and we were told that more people were going to show up but guess what ? Pretty cool place with soft, serve beer, wine, and mixed drinks. You have to be really careful though when you're running those taps! Watch the dollars roll up like a gallon of premium gas on the gas pump it and adds up pretty quickly. Otherwise the beer hall is nice very dog friendly on the outdoor portion. This is one of those pour-your-own places. Great atmosphere, spacious, and friendly service. Of course, you have all of the other places to enjoy while at this place, and you can come and go once you start a tab, so you are in a little, fun city, if you will. Shops, dessert, other places right down the hall. They didn't have as many West Coast IPA's as I would have preferred, but the Russian River Blind Pig was a winner in my book. They also had COCKTAILS on tap for your friends who don't like beer. I only give it a 4 because when you go to check out, if it got busy since you arrived, you have to wait in same check-in line to cash out...and therefore it could take a bit. My Buffalo wings yesterday were plump & tender--better than most. Too bad they don't offer heat options--the sauce was tepid at best. Burgers feature Niman Ranch beef and do the trick. Tater tots eschew the trendy for old-school crispy-on-the-outside goodness. Adding green chile only improves them. Friends vouch for the chicken caprese sandwich and bison brat. Service has been friendly and helpfu every time. While a little pricey, this is the Stanley Marketplace, homing beacon for bourgeoise disposable income. It comes with the territory. Seating options abound, indoors and out. Booths, high tops, picnic tables, and more await on two levels, each with an array of self-service taps. This place holds a lot of people and it can get loud. Beer: Around 30 taps are labeled with the style in big red letters and name of the beer/brewery under that. There are plenty of choices from a rotating cadre of brewers from Colorado and beyond. Sometimes, a rare/special brew shows up that highlights the power of self-pour, pay-by-the-ounce. PROBLEM: It doesn't matter what beer you serve if the Lines are Dirty (?) This has been the status quo every time over several years. I've come to accept that familiar beers may not taste right here. Case in point--the last Juicy Bits had def lost a step, like it was too old. New beers might be blah, but taste better elsewhere. This predates Covid's assault on taste buds. Always a sucker for an extensive pour-it-yourself beer wall, I knew I had to bring my beer loving Dad here when he was in town. And it didn't hurt that my partner and I's absolute fave burger from this year's Denver Burger Battle was the Peaches and Cream Burger (goat cheese, peach, arugula) and they still had it on their menu! Dog friendly and large-group friendly also, I really like this spot inside Stanley Marketplace. Connect your credit card to one of their beer cards and pour your little heart out! Their beer wall has a TON of beers, a nice selection of wines, and even a couple of cocktails - I personally loved the Bourbon and Ginger cocktail that I drank a few too many oz of. You seat yourself and check the menu from the QR code on the table. Service was good and I have to say, their food is SURPRISINGLY delicious. Maybe it was because almost every single person in our 6-person party ordered the Peaches and Cream burger, but we loved every bite of our meals! My Mom also ordered their Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich which was also very good and pretty hefty in size. We also got a couple of Beer Cheese soup cups and these also did not disappoint. Docked one star because they are NOT cheap, but at least their $18 burger came with yummy fries. I enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely come back. That being said my Buffalo cauliflower wings weren't great. I liked the blue cheese chips but it is a little bit of a weird concept. None of my friends were mind blown by their sandwiches except for the one that is the burger of the year. I heard it was delicious! The waitresses seemed pretty angry but everybody has those days so I never like to be too judgmental. The concept of ordering drinks is so cool! Pour your own beer styled burger joint in the Stanley Market. I was recommended this place by a friend while up at Stanley Market. You get a card that you connect to your debit/credit card, which then gives you access to pour beers, wines, and even a few cocktails from their taps. It charges you by the ounce, so you can control how much of a beer you would like. Can be a fun experience for someone who has never poured a draft beer before. The food is where I run into an issue. After you pour a drink you can sit wherever you like, the menu was in QR. No one came to check on us and we then had to flag down wait staff to get our order put in. We had to do that a few times, didn't seem they had assigned sections or any organization on the dining room. The bacon cheeseburger we got I have to say was delicious, but $18?! I know inflation is a thing right now and prices are rising, but $18 is a steep price for a bacon cheeseburger. The pretzel cheese bites stole the show, but also feels expensive sitting at $12. Not sure if due to recent inflation or just the fact they're in Stanley. I'd go back but probably wouldn't spend that much for a burger again. read more

Generally, we like trying new places. The Stanley Beer Hall is close and we'd forgetten how good it is. Tonight we went, and savored last bite. Husband's a beer geek -- so he loves going, getting a "beer debit card" at front desk and then taking his time choosing more than 20 beers on tap. And then there's the food. From pretzel bites (light & airy & warm) to the chopped cobb salad to the mushroom swiss burger, every bit was yummy. It's nice to reacquaint ourselves with the Stanley Beer Hall, after a couple years of avoiding in-person dining. We've added this to our list of "regular" restaurants -- gotta get there again soon! read more

I've been more than once - there aren't a ton of places to go in the bubble and they have a great selection of beverages, which I love. This review is for brunch, which we just tried out last weekend. The cinnamon roll pretzels we ordered for the table were yummy but the rest was just ok. My main beef was with how food came out. Each person's order came out separately, so by the time the last of us (there were five) got her meal mine was cold. She also had to ask where her food was- she'd ordered second, before me, but apparently there was a waffle machine issue. It would have been nice had someone come to explain why her food was soooo much later than everyone else's. Especially since we were all asked to tip on arrival. I did not eat there as there are so many other choices in the marketplace but pub style food was what they seemed to have. But, the whole idea here is you pour your own drink so it was a cool concept. You get charged per ounce so you can see when pouring what your cost is. I chose a margarita and paid $4.50 for about less than half a glass so it's a little too pricy for me... but if you are here to taste a variety of items, this is your place. So decided to give Stanley marketplace a second go around and this time we told ourselves to NOT look at prices (we are cheap af). This was one of the only places that didn't have a long wait PLUS it's self service on drinks (beer and sodas HOW COOL) We came here for the food though, what caught my eye was the Bleu burger, however I ended up going with the SALMON fish and chips with a chipotle remoulade. I am so happy I went with this! It's a yummy twist on a classic dish. I ate the whole dish it was so good! The fries were more than enough, definitely too much but not complaining because left overs are great. My husband ordered the Stanley burger and wasn't too thrilled about it and I didn't get to try it but he was super hungry so he ate all of it. For a children's hot dog I was expecting it to be like a really small, not all that great hot dog. Buttttt it was really good!! Definitely worth the 7$ kids hotdog! read more

I am little surprised by some of the recent reviews. We had a nice experience with no kids running around and enjoyed being outside. We aren't going to apologize that we aren't Texas and running the A/C at 50 degrees in the middle of the summer! ;) In all seriousness, I liked the pour-it-youself concept although I wish the selection was a bit better. It's subjective so I can't knock off stars for this observation. When at the beer hall, the main reasons are to hang out with friends, be outside, and enjoy a drink. With the warmer weather of spring upon us, a trip to Stanley Marketplace to celebrate birthdays for my friend and me was in order. She had not been here at all. After a tour around the building, we decided to visit Stanley Beer Hall since it is now open every day. The place was certainly following the CDC guidelines for distancing and cleaning. A bottle of hand sanitizer was on each table. There were plexiglass partitions hanging between each table. The doors to the south and the west were open to allow for good ventilation. The floor was clearly marked for the self serve beverage area to remind people to distance. For all of this, I was grateful. Now, on to the food. I knew I was having the Cobb Salad as I had had it before and it was terrific. My friend chose the BLAT-bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato sandwich on brioche bread. She chose a salad for her side that accompanied the sandwich. For the Cobb salad, the bowl was very cold which kept the contents chilled for the entire time-about 30 minutes. The romaine lettuce, essential in my opinion, was the perfect bite sized pieces. All of the usual components were there. Bacon pieces, chopped red onion, avocado, blue cheese, thin slices of cucumber, tomato, and halves of hard boiled eggs. Tasty cubes of turkey were incorporated with the veggies. Served with it was a side, or two, or blue cheese dressing (my choice from several others). I savored every bite and cannot wait to return for another. The BLAT looked hearty and was reported as very tasty. The bacon was candied and the avocado slices were piled high with the thick slices of brioche. The side salad was plentiful and colorful, to boot. All in all, this trip to Stanley Beer Hall did not disappoint. As summer ensues, their outdoor covered dining area will be in full swing with eager eaters. read more

This place is AMAZING! One of my favorite fast casual spots in the Denver area. It lives and breathes community. Families, groups of friends and coworkers everywhere, bunch of locals and regulars, too. They have 37 PourMyBeer self-pour taps which allow you to pour your drinks (cocktails, wines, prosecco, ciders and local craft beers) by the ounce. Love this place's food but we had one of the worst experiences today. I hate to write this review but we were there for a birthday and the misters were on despite the fact that it was a cool summer evening. Normally not an issue but one was creating condensation and dripping and splashing all over our table. When we asked if it would be possible to turn it off we were not really taken seriously and told that they would have to ask all the guests if that would be ok before doing so. Not only unrealistic but also a little sarcastic. We finally found another table and asked one of the servers to wipe it down and she reluctantly went to do so without as much as an acknowledgement to our request. We value our local businesses but unless the service improves dramatically, I feel it will go downhill fast. read more

Fun atmosphere and patio seating, great for a large group! The concept of the beer cards to serve yourself at the tap is super fun and great for being able to try multiple things. My biggest complaint is that non-beer options were priced WAY higher than beers making it hard to enjoy the space if you aren't a beer drinker, ex. I went with co-workers who drank approximately the same number of ounces of beer that I did of margarita and they paid ~$20 and I paid $40. It's a beer hall so I would've expected a slight up charge for other beverages but not twice as much. I also went with a work group and we had a preset menu of appetizers agreed on in advance but it was over an hour into our scheduled time before any food started coming out. The classic burger here is the defending champ for Denver Burger Battle. They won in 2017 and 2018 which is a tough task considering all the competition. The selection here includes gluten free Holliday Brewing, they also have cider, wine and Moscow mule all available on the self serve taps. Price is higher but expected. Basically SBH is a casual beer hang out with decent food. The green Chile is also worth a taste, maybe their service needs to get a bump but overall, me likey. read more

I have been super excited to try Stanley Beer Hall for some time now and dropped in on a Saturday to meet a friend. The business was practicing good social distancing of tables, all employees are wearing masks, and they've set up a good system for food pick up/ordering. My main issue was the limited menu itself ---where's the vegetarian option? Also, $10 was a lot for the pretzel bites. The draft beer is at a pretty high price as well, the staff informed us it was stadium cup sized but I was not looking for that much beer. All in all, a pretty average experience. read more

My husband and I both contracted severe food poisoning from here this weekend. We suspect it was from the chicken wings. When we called to report it to the restaurant on Sunday night we were told that that was consistent with other reports they've received and had corrected the issue with the chicken wings. I asked what the issue was out of curiosity and was told a manager would reach out to me. Yvette called me the next day and tried to dismiss the issue, saying symptoms of food poisoning don't present for 24-48 hours which is factually untrue. She also tried to explain that we were the only case, which is contradictory with what we heard from the other employee. We're disappointed with the dishonesty and will not be returning or eating chicken wings for a while. read more

First, a little background. We met our niece and her family here for dinner during a trip. This was in late may, while the entire complex was coming out of lock-down. So my impression is very likely not representative of what you may encounter later on... We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Friday. The entire Stanley Market complex looked like an interesting place, and my niece said they had enjoyed a lot of meals there in the past. However, it had been shut down and then offered curb-side take-out for a while. They were just attempting to at least partially open when we dined there. In order to be allowed to serve (?), it appeared that their compromise outdoor dining area was under a large tent (or two) outside the normal area. That was fine, except for a storm front that was moving in and creating a lot of wind, making it hard to dine on some items. The process at the time for ordering was for 1 - 2 representatives from each party to approach the register and give an entire order. You then got your drinks and they took your name. A bit later, they'd call you to come pick up your food. This wasn't ideal, but it was the best they could arrange under the circumstances, which was fine. Another oddity, as noted by our niece, was that the new 'temporary' menu bore almost no resemblance to their regular menu (maybe as it was being cooked in the tent where they took the orders?). You could choose between a few sandwiches (chicken, burger, etc.) and salads. They may have had a hot-dog option too. No one was that taken with their food. The salads were more like the crunchy bits that are excluded from salad tubs you buy at grocery stores. The storm picked up and we adjourned to our niece's apartment to finish eating, before our food blew away. If I returned to the area, I might well got back to check out Stanley Market in general and the Beer Hall in particular under more normal circumstances, though. read more
