Sheldon explained everything in detail and went over numbers with me so we could understand what we were looking at. When the interest rates changed, he again reached out to go over how it would affect our payments and what our options are. We found a home not long after beginning the process with Sheldon and had our offer accepted 10 days ago. We will be signing at the title company tomorrow; I cannot believe this has happened so fast! The entire process has been incredibly easy, it has surprised my friends and family as this was not their own experience buying a home. Lisa, the loan processor has communicated everything along the way, keeping us updated as things progressed. I really did not think the home buying process would go this smoothly or stress free for us. He wanted to make sure I did not have my insurance lapse. He did this as a professional in the mortgage business. It is Brad that made sure my insurance was received by the lender. He didn't have to do any of this. Brad then followed up about my veteran tax exemption. Again he didn't have to do this. He is just a professional. Since then he has allowed me to submit other questions. He is an absolute professional. This is a value you can't put in a loan document. This is saving me money. You don't want the value lender. Leo got me approved when I couldn't at other places. In all my experience (both at the bank and as a consumer), I've never come across someone who understood (or was willing to understand) the nuances of an "outside the box" borrower. Recently I decided to look into refinancing and am so loyal to Leo that I spent a bit of time to track him down since he moved companies. Even in my current situation, there are a number of ways to slice my request and he was excellent and going through each and pointing out the pros/cons even when it meant possibly losing my business to achieve the goal that is best for me. Land Home was awesome as well they sent us a gift basket with movie vouchers and popcorn during escrow for a date night and a cute coffee mug when we first got into escrow. Leo was there when we signed our papers which was awesome because were first time homebuyers and it was good to know we had someone on her side looking out for our best interest. We were even able to offer a shorter escrow time because they were so on it with our paperwork and getting us through underwriting before we even found our house, which was imperative in this crazy market! He not only has experience on the lending side of things but also has worked on the agents side. He is able to relate and find what problems you may have then solve them! My clients and I were in a competitive situation where we needed a lender that would be there when we need him, be able to perform exceptionally well and make sure the offer we wrote get accepted. He became the lender to my clients because 2 big banks that my client had reached out to were not able to respond as quickly as we needed to meet deadlines. Even being put in the right timelines, Matt remained calm and made sure everything got done. His team that helped balance the load by getting everything upfront made it so that when it came to the appraisal and funding, everything happened more smoothly. We were able to close this deal and get our client into a home that other lenders would have said was hard to fund. For any situation wether this is a 1 bed 1 bath starting home up to a luxury home, he will a)find what you need and b) work harder than most lenders to make sure that the terms are tight and deal is SEALED!
