I had a really negative experience today at this shop. Really, every point of service sucked. Brought in an ottoman project that I was trying to do myself. All I needed was my foam trimmed and 4 "eyes" made out of the fabric I brought in myself. How bad could it be. Famous last words. I was given a quote of $50, which I thought was kinda high, but OK. Put down a $25 dollar deposit. After about a week, I got a call saying my foam was trimmed and ready for pick-up. I called first because there was no mention of the 4 eye buttons. Sure enough, they didn't do them. Gave them another week, and went in today to pick it up. Forgot to pick it up on Monday, and got the call today that if I didn't pick it up by Friday, it would be disposed of. Really? After waiting all that time for them to complete the instructions that were clearly written on the invoice, they plan to throw my stuff in the garbage in a few days. Unreal. Stopped in today for what I thought would be a quick pick up and payment. No such luck. The foam looked exactly the same size. I couldn't believe it. I told the employee, "Look, I will pay you for the buttons, but I'm not paying for the foam. It looks exactly the same." She brought in the guy from the back. Told him the same thing. He told me it was $3 a button and he was giving me a deal. I asked for my refund for $13.00. He kept saying, "Why do I owe you money?" 25-12=13. At one point, he started posturing, "Are you calling me stupid?" Then, he said they were $4 per button. Fine. Whatever. I'm late for work. I just wanted to get out of there. Then, I'm waiting at the register while he and his co-worker consult. I'm calling to them saying I have to go. He then comes back to the register and tells me he doesn't have any money. It was jaw dropping. He kept me waiting there for 10 minutes for a refund he never gave to me. Luckily, experiences like this are few and far between. Do yourself a favor.
