Standard Glass is an invaluable local resource for all things glass and mirror. They are quite impressive when you see the range of large scale jobs they have completed but we are just regular small project type of consumers, hard to believe they'd have time to deal with us. We were sent there by a local lamp and frame shop when they were unable to cut and replace an oval shaped mirror into an existing frame. Standard Glass not only did that expertly but advised us to go with a thinner and less expensive, lighter mirror glass which we would not have thought of. (you always think thicker is better) The second time we used them for custom cutting 2 pieces of glass for a top of a couple of nightstands. We were originally considering plexiglass (more expensive) but they advised us against it because it scratched easily and was ultimately harder to clean. They were right again! Better choices and less money. We are fans and couldn't recommend them highly enough. read more

Great company, the leader in glass anything in Southeastern NC. We had our customized glass shower door put in and it went perfect from start to finish. Their warranty cannot be beat. read more

They were very prompt with all aspects of their service. From scheduling appt for estimate to coming out to do the repairs/replacements. Employees were very personalbe and professional. It took them hardly no time to complete the work with quality results. read more

I got estimates from a couple of companies. Standard Glass was the last of the companies to visit. When I made some comments about the grab bars for the future in case parents came to live with me, the estimator gave an recommendation of what type of door to use (how it should open) and why. I was so impressed. The installers, Martin, Gabe, and Ryan were great, too! Professional, cleaned up afterwards, and they did a great job! read more

An outstanding company. We had mirrors and shower surrounds installed. The office, sales and work was seamless. We recommend Standard Glass very highly. read more

They always do a great job, provide estimate and deliver on time.. I recommend Standard Glass Company and support local businesses.

I received a local "ad" magazine which included a product this company presented which I'm interested in addition information/a quote. As i normally do i search the www for reviews. The reviews were of quality except their level of communication during their process, not good, a number of folks mentioned that there was difficulty. I mention this as i left a message, was informed i would be contacted, 8 days ago. Yep, they failed to communicate. Not shocked, wanted to add my experience with a vendor paying good money to advertise then leaving, potentially, big money on the table. Seems they don't need new customers. read more

I have appreciated Standard Glass company for their knowledgeable staff and fast service. I have used these services to purchase glass for several tables and work spaces in my home. The staff in the reception area is thorough in addressing the customers' needs and the technicians assist to insure that customer is getting the type of glass they need. Great folks! Great prices! Fast service! This company has served Wilmington for many years! When you need glass, remember them first! read more

Very professional twice. Quality is excellent. They show up when they say they would be there. GREAT JOB!!

We did not choose Standard Glass, they work with the remodeling company that is doing the remodel on our home. The previous owners put a walk-in shower in the master but did not put a door on the shower. Standard Glass came in, measured the opening, came back about three weeks later when the door came in and installed it. We are very pleased with it, the fellows that were here were pleasant and professional. We would certainly use them again! read more

From my first visit to their showroom to the installation of my shower door everyone at Standard Glass knew the product. Nick in the office was more than helpful. Mark knows his product and is proud to sell it and his entire team. The two guys that installed the door were efficient and thorough. An easy five-stars from me. read more

I have been a customer since 1995. Recently had a job for Standard Glass and once again, they delivered a quality product with excellent pricing. Kim and David are a few names I can share to let you know that excellent customer service is their highest priority! I highly recommend this company! read more

I put down 50% on a job replacing a track and rollers on my sliding glass door on 1/19/2024. It is now 6/6/2024 and they still have not been able to get all the parts and schedule the repairs. I feel trapped because my condo association provided them as an approved vendor. I would definitly avoid them at all cost. Outside of Shannon communicating with me, there is absolutly no customer service. read more

I called them in November 2022 to set up an appointment, it took them almost 2 weeks to come out and give me an estimate. After I got the estimate I communicated with them via email, they told me they didn't get it after I called, after almost 2 months of back-and-forth with them, they still couldn't get to me. I wouldn't recommend if you need this in a hurry, but I couldn't tell you about their workmanship. read more

Took 2 months from measure to finish. We were having frameless shower glass installed. There is a pony wall between the shower and tub. It took 5 visits to get it installed. 1st visit The glass for the pony wall was measured wrong. Had to remeasure. 2nd visit Brought out the same wrong glass. 3rd visit Either brought the original wrong glass or the new glass was measured wrong again. 4th visit Still wrong size. 5th visit Finally installed. It looks great. We're very happy with it. Customer service is lacking. After it was installed they were coming out to recaulk. Got a call from the guy. Said he pulled in our driveway then realized he didn't have any caulk with him. read more

I needed 2 identical glass shelves. I took a wooden shelf in as a template. An employee made the measurements (which were accurate). The glass cutter cut 2 pieces of different sizes and said the job was done. Absolutely no quality control. Even standing the 2 pieces together would have shown that one or both of them were wrong. Instead of admitting that they made a mistake, the said that I was "unhappy with the result." No apology forthcoming. To make it worse, instead of going back to the specs, the glass cutter asked me which edge I wanted shaved down, running his finger along the wrong edge! I give them 2 stars because one shelf was right, and the price was reasonable (assuming one doesn't have to make 3 trips to the shop as I did). read more

Terrible customer service, rude arrogant and unprofessional behavior. Acted as if I was bothering him when I called to get an estimate.

Called Standard Glass to come out and give a quote on a few window repairs at our business. Appointment passed by a couple of days. Called again to find out what happened. I was told that it was raining so they don't do quotes in the rain. I asked, could no one have given us a courtesy call. Made a new appointment, guy came out, said he would let us know. Have not heard anything from them, this is now going on 2 weeks since this journey began. Side note, when I called a new company to come out, I mentioned we couldn't get any service from this other company,(made sure to not say their name) gentleman said, "Oh you must be talking about "Standard Glass" hmmmmmm. Sounds like their reputation precedes themselves. read more
