It was a great experience at the Standard Barbershop. Fast, friendly, and efficient. Kevin is one of the best barbers in the Valley.

Husband went in around 2:20 today to Standard Barbershop because his normal barber is closed, got his hair cut from the girl working there. Then called me about an hour later saying "wtf" and sent me these photos. You decide. read more

I don't trust many barbers to cut my son's haircut BUT! I trust Michael 100%! He's awesome, and he has skills!!! Really recommend you ask for him for your next booking. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I asked this dude to just shape my beard and keep it thick. He took my beard that was just over an inch at down to like 8mm *at its longest*. It's also uneven. I've had this beard for like 8 months, only shaping it during that time. I went from having a beard to having stubble. This is not my look read more

I hate when I tell someone I just want this done and they do the opposite. Told him just to take two inches off the top instead cuts everything but what I had asked. read more

The team here are pretty friendly. I had a great time chatting with Roberto. I ended up with a pretty good haircut that I was able to walk in for without a prior appointment. He took his time and I felt and looked good. Do note that there is a one dollar fee if use your credit card to pay, so maybe try to bring cash. read more

Michael is one of the best stylists! Takes his time, listens to the customer, and make it perfect. Highly recommend this place and Michael.

I've been going to this spot for years. Great barbers all around. My go to barber has been Chris lately. He does a great job with my haircut amd beard every time i go. read more

If there was a rating for negative stars I would leave it here. My son and husband went in and the barber chopped off all of my son's long hair to TRY and look at his own, the stylist failed to communicate with my son even though he had a picture, not only was his hair cut super short it was UNEVEN, they had to go back in to ask him to cut it even. Epic fail by the stylist!!!! no communication and because he became Edward scissor hands to try and make my son look like him... grrrrr Then the other stylist also cut my husband's hair uneven and my husband had to guide him on how to make it even, WTF! People should walk out of a salon feeling better about themselves not have your spirit crushed by inept individuals. When I called the manager hours later (I was trying to calm down before talking to them) the manager hadn't even gone to talk to the stylists, even though my husband had complained immediately after the hair cuts. What kind of horrible oversight is this? Do not go to this establishment, unless you want to walk out having your spirit crushed. read more

Solid and welcoming barbershop everyone was cool and got a sick cut by Gabe he was quick but didn't rush my cut

Writing a review on my husband's behalf. He's very picky with his barber. So when we found this place, he was so happy. He has curly asian hair. Cruz did a low fade and Cruz did it flawlessly. The cut was clean, precise and was not rushed. The shop is kept clean and the staff is nice and welcoming. Being able to make an appointment is also a plus! Overall, I highly recommend this shop! read more

Tapn @hdzblendz__(michael) he always gives me quality service and detailed haircuts. He's a well rounded person as well.

This is probably the first time I thought to myself that I'd rather go bald at this point. I think the barber didn't really put much effort into keeping the front longer for a combover since he just got the clippers and went down the side. I said 0-2 with 2 being the longest on the side but he left both sides at a very strange length. I think it would be okay but I think it just looks obvious that someone went through with clippers for the top part which requires a bit more attention. I reserved writing a review the first time visiting Standard barbershop but after a second visit, it is very clear to me that they are unable to cut my hair. read more

Nice hole in the wall that has a friendly vibe - Rusha is the best, book w her for sure!

Just received a haircut from Javier. I've been to a handful of barbershops in the Valley after moving fro Santa Monica and this one is the only one that matched the look I was going for. Social Barbershop was the closest after this one but it wasn't nearly as good as the experience I had here. Will be coming back. read more

Great cut from Rusha today. I followed her over from her last spot and she never disappoints.

I just came from this establishment. After making an appointment yesterday and researching some things. First and foremost, I couldn't be happier with the quality of work, Customer Service and or anything else. The gentleman that worked on me, his name is Alex. And the owner who was there I unfortunately didn't get her name. But I want to say, categorically speaking that once again I couldn't be happier with the beard trim that I received. Alex and owner. I would undoubtedly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for facial and beard trimming. I suspect their haircuts are as great. Thank you so very much. I'm appreciative and grateful on how this transaction unfolded. I will certainly see you in the near future. Again, Alex thank you thank you both. read more

Set the appointment the day of and the barber they assigned me to seemed to be new and obviously did not know how to give a fade. I kept telling him to fade it in a little more because I could still visibly see the line he made across my head. I do not feel the need to be telling someone how to do their job but in this case I had to. Do not go here making an appointment the day of or even a walk in, and expect to get a haircut by someone who has experience. I have been here once before but did not have an experience like this. This deserves a no star to be honest. Sorry not sorry. read more

Garbage cut. I'm assuming kid was new or training. Unless all the barbers there cut like him. Just cause I'm a walk in I shouldn't get delegated to the new guy especially when it's not even busy. 45 bucks waste of money. Now to go spend another 40 at another barber shop for someone to fix it read more

This place should get less than 1 star for giving such unprofessional and immature comments to my brother. My brother has been getting his haircut at this place for years. He walks in today, and was asked if he was vaccinated (which is appropriate) however my brother responded with "No, I'm not vaccinated" and was told that he was "selfish and asked why not" Instead of asking if he had proof of a negative Covid test, he was shamed for not getting the vaccine. How inappropriate and unprofessional. This was the manager who made the comment by the way. You would think that the manager would have turned him away for not having the vaccine after making such a big deal about not having it, but she still LET him have his haircut but only after shaming him. Of course, before the holidays, my brother needed a haircut badly and had to undergo a haircut while feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. So, if you people are wondering if they are following protocols, they just shame those who don't have the vaccine and will still service them to make money. This will be my brother's last time going to the Standard. These are not the type of people that should be out in the community. People can have a choice with what they decide to do and that should be respected, not shamed. read more

I've never had a worse haircut in my life. Completely botched and uneven. Hate the way I look with this cut. Not AT ALL what I asked for. I wasn't facing the mirror during the entire haircut (which I thought was odd.) Then when it came time for the reveal I was so shocked and upset. I didn't want him to do anymore to my hair in the likely chance he would mess it up even more. Worst part is, I have an interview tomorrow. Beyond upset and disappointed. read more

Lady at the front desk is not professional. She sounds confused on the phone. Appointment was scheduled with Robert. Took my son in for a taper fade and the Barber, Robert S., asks for a picture of a taper fade if you're a barber.. you should know what a taper fade is. Only time one should ask for a picture is if it's a specific design like a shaved heart or etc.. I see good reviews are from 8 months ago.. maybe now, they're not relevant. Def not going back read more

Moved to the valley and had to find a new place to cut my hair. Found Standard Barbershop through Yelp and haven't looked back since! I usually just call to schedule an appointment on the same day. They will send you a text message to confirm your time which is convenient for me. The haircutting experiencing itself is great! Each barber that has cut my hair is friendly, attentive, and really takes the time to make sure I get what I want. If you want a place to cut your hair regularly without taking too much time out of your day to do so, I suggest Standard Barbershop. read more
