The team here are pretty friendly. I had a great time chatting with Roberto. I ended up with a pretty good haircut that I was able to walk in for without a prior appointment. He took his time and I felt and looked good. Do note that there is a one dollar fee if use your credit card to pay, so maybe try to bring cash. read more

If there was a rating for negative stars I would leave it here. My son and husband went in and the barber chopped off all of my son's long hair to TRY and look at his own, the stylist failed to communicate with my son even though he had a picture, not only was his hair cut super short it was UNEVEN, they had to go back in to ask him to cut it even. Epic fail by the stylist!!!! no communication and because he became Edward scissor hands to try and make my son look like him... grrrrr Then the other stylist also cut my husband's hair uneven and my husband had to guide him on how to make it even, WTF! People should walk out of a salon feeling better about themselves not have your spirit crushed by inept individuals. When I called the manager hours later (I was trying to calm down before talking to them) the manager hadn't even gone to talk to the stylists, even though my husband had complained immediately after the hair cuts. What kind of horrible oversight is this? Do not go to this establishment, unless you want to walk out having your spirit crushed. read more

This is probably the first time I thought to myself that I'd rather go bald at this point. I think the barber didn't really put much effort into keeping the front longer for a combover since he just got the clippers and went down the side. I said 0-2 with 2 being the longest on the side but he left both sides at a very strange length. I think it would be okay but I think it just looks obvious that someone went through with clippers for the top part which requires a bit more attention. I reserved writing a review the first time visiting Standard barbershop but after a second visit, it is very clear to me that they are unable to cut my hair. read more

Set the appointment the day of and the barber they assigned me to seemed to be new and obviously did not know how to give a fade. I kept telling him to fade it in a little more because I could still visibly see the line he made across my head. I do not feel the need to be telling someone how to do their job but in this case I had to. Do not go here making an appointment the day of or even a walk in, and expect to get a haircut by someone who has experience. I have been here once before but did not have an experience like this. This place should get less than 1 star for giving such unprofessional and immature comments to my brother. My brother has been getting his haircut at this place for years. He walks in today, and was asked if he was vaccinated (which is appropriate) however my brother responded with "No, I'm not vaccinated" and was told that he was "selfish and asked why not" Instead of asking if he had proof of a negative Covid test, he was shamed for not getting the vaccine. How inappropriate and unprofessional. This was the manager who made the comment by the way. You would think that the manager would have turned him away for not having the vaccine after making such a big deal about not having it, but she still LET him have his haircut but only after shaming him. Of course, before the holidays, my brother needed a haircut badly and had to undergo a haircut while feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. So, if you people are wondering if they are following protocols, they just shame those who don't have the vaccine and will still service them to make money. This will be my brother's last time going to the Standard. These are not the type of people that should be out in the community. People can have a choice with what they decide to do and that should be respected, not shamed. read more

I've never had a worse haircut in my life. Completely botched and uneven. Hate the way I look with this cut. Not AT ALL what I asked for. I wasn't facing the mirror during the entire haircut (which I thought was odd.) Then when it came time for the reveal I was so shocked and upset. I went to this barbershop for the first time on Tuesday 08/06/24. I can confidently say that I received the best haircut I have ever gotten in my life. I was able to make an appointment, so I didn't have to wait for my barber to take me in. My barber, Brandon, was absolutely excellent. He meticulously cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Lady at the front desk is not professional. She sounds confused on the phone. Appointment was scheduled with Robert. Took my son in for a taper fade and the Barber, Robert S., asks for a picture of a taper fade if you're a barber.. you should know what a taper fade is. Only time one should ask for a picture is if it's a specific design like a shaved heart or etc.. I see good reviews are from 8 months ago.. maybe now, they're not relevant.
