Ok, now legitimately I am BLOWN away right now. I called The Stand Up Guys earlier this morning, asking a few questions and really just seeing if they could help me with my little clutter issue in the basement. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone (believe his name was Casey) was so helpful and just outstanding. He answered all the questions I had, and reassured me that they could help me. So I agreed to let them come out. I asked when the soonest would be, he said TODAY! I was hoping for at least the next week, but today was even better. I assumed that just because the person I spoke with over the phone was nice, didn't mean that the guys that showed up were going to be anywhere near the same. My expectation were low, after all it's just junk removal.. Welp, the two guys that arrived at my home floored me. They were uniformed (which I wasn't expecting), polite, well spoken and just overall wholesome gentlemen. They came in, gave me a quote, which was a very reasonable price, I agreed to it and they got straight to work. As the two 'stand up guys' were working, I just pulled up a chair and watched and pointed out some of the things I wanted to keep. They were clearing out junk and clutter from my basement. They worked hard, and quickly. They did the job in half the time I thought they would. When it was all over, Ross, one of the 'stand up guys' came to me with an even lower price than what he originally quoted me. He told me he overestimated what I had originally, EVEN though I had already agreed to that price. Now that is customer service and honesty. I was blown away for many different reasons, but mainly because of the overall experience I just had. It's nice to see that this kind of wholesome, honest customer service is still out there today. First and foremost. I want to thank the gentlemen that were out at my house this morning. Ross and Blake. These two guys were as good as it gets, seriously. I'm not sure if the entire company is like this, but either way, these two wonderful guys are a great reflection of the business, they really were stand up guys. At 8am, I got a call from Ross letting me know he was in route to my house. The appointment window was 8-10am, so I figured someone would just show up around 9 or 10. I was so gratefully wrong. It was a pleasure to have an exact time of arrival. Ross was sweet and courteous over the phone as well. When he and Blake arrived at my house, Ross greeted me at the front door. He was in uniformed and looked extremely professionals, I was already very impressed. He came inside and took a look at all the CRAP I needed to get rid of. There was a couch, love seat, tale and chairs, boxes and just a ton of junk. Ross looked over everything, asked a few questions, then showed me their pricing structure right there on his ipad (pretty neat). After explaining the prices, Ross gave me a price, and I was a good one too. I was ready to rock and roll. He told me that he could take care of it all right then and there. I was one happy lady to say the least. After chatting for a few more minutes, Ross grabbed Blake from the truck and the two started working. I'm a general contractor here in Nashville, so i have my fair share of JUNK. Every single time we gut a bathroom or a kitchen, we've got junk. Or every time we remodel a basement, we've got JUNK. It's just inevitable in what I do. For the longest time, I would find different dumpster companies to drop off dumpsters on my job sites. I would have my guys fill up the dumpsters while we were working (this took them away from what I was really paying them to do). The biggest issue was the dumpster companies were unreliable and sometimes weren't even permitted to drop in the area I was working (you need to pull permits in most Nashville neighborhoods, can take up to 2 weeks to get approved). Their guys loaded up every inch of junk that we had and hauled it all away. This saved me not only time, but money and headache. After my wife and I bought a fixer upper in Burns, TN we accumulated a pretty big pile of old doors, toilets, sinks, kitchen appliances, flooring, cabinetry, and also, some old railroad ties. And with the renovations and decorating we added lots of empty paint cans, packing boxes, and building materials to the heap. We called Stand Up Guys and they took care of everything. Ross, the crew leader, was professional, kind, and hardworking along with his entire crew. They called just prior to arriving, arrived at the time promised, and within two hours had cleared two dump truck loads of "junk" from our property. These guys really were "stand up." We had a flood at our place and all of the ruined stuff was in the garage. While they were taking that, we were also downsizing from a 4 bedroom with a 2 car garage to a 2 bedroom apartment. In the end, they hauled off 3.5 truckloads of stuff. They picked up all sorts of things from trash to furniture, to gross moldy things from the flood. They stayed pleasant the whole time and I never heard them complain even once. For both, the quote and the removal appointments, they showed up at the scheduled time and kept us updated on the progress. They left my yard in superb condition! I am very satisfied for the fine work performed by these 'Stand Up Guys". I had a huge swing set, some big rocks, a huge pile of cardboard, and some trash. They made accommodations do my schedule, got the job done quickly and professionally, and were very friendly and courteous.
