Buyer Beware. Do not use Bruthas Concrete…read more I provided a detailed scope of work to Bruthas Concrete with Autocad drawings. They provided an estimate that seemed reasonable and started work with assurance that they were capable and the work would be completed within 3 weeks. The contractor kept stating he under bid and needed more money. I ended up paying over 50% of the original cost to have the work not finished. After 3 1/2 months, Bruthas walked off the site and refused to complete the work after cashing checks for "materials" that were never provided. Now I am paying more than the original estimate to have another contractor finish the job with sub-par masonry work done by Bruthas. If I ripped that out and started over, it would cost me even more. Ultimately, I am paying about 1.5X the amount to have a sub-par project and it taking 3 extra months than if I had gone with a reputable company from the beginning. Regarding the Bruthas, find someone else. Overall, they act unprofessionally and unethically. They will underestimate the job and after the work begins will jack the price up more than 50 percent. They will hold your project hostage until you pay more or they will cut corners to fit your budget. Be very careful. Find someone reputable.
