When we called to find out their progress we were told that he sold one of the instruments. We asked why he didn't call us he said I lost your number. He told us the amount he got for the instrument and we were shocked at how low it was. He never called and told us he had a buyer and the amount he was offered for it. When we called him, he was very indignant on the phone and hung up on us. We went to the store to get the money he had for the one instrument and pick up the other two. When we got there we were able to locate one of the instruments. Upon asking about the other he at first could not remember where it was. Then said oh ya I sold it. But didn't remember the amount or who he sold it to. He gave us what he thought he got for the two instruments. When I told him I was going to put something on Yelp he told me if I did he would come to my house. So remember get something in writing before you do business with MeKeels.

Lot of college and school students go to him and his classes are always brimming with fun, laughter and music. Mark promised he would tell me when he sold the drum, and i gave him my land line phone number, my cell phone number, my email address, and my home address in Barrytown. I checked frequently at first, then not so frequently. Almost three years later Mark told me the drum had been sold for $300 to a Bard College professor, but Mark said he didn't tell me because he couldn't reach me (I have a working recorder on my phone). Mark couldn't locate the sales receipt, and couldn't tell me the Bard College professor's name. Mark said he has thousands and thousands of receipts, and to locate just one would be almost impossible. I told Mark I would feel better showed me the sales receipt before he paid me, and to please keep looking. He is still looking. Our agreement was that Mark would get 20% commission of the best sales price he could get, I would get 80%.
