We hired B&B decorative concrete to stain the floors inside our home. We had a house fire and half…read moreof our flooring would need to be replaced, in addition to that we were choosing to do this in other connected areas of our home as well. Very long story short what should've been a week job ended up taking a month because they made such a mess. We talked with them from the beginning about protecting our baseboards and repeatedly throughout the process, but we were ignored. They sprayed stain 18 inches up our walls all over our baseboards, cabinets, doors and anything else below 18 inches. They also got concrete on our baseboards, cabinets, and door frames. The employees and owner came out to clean up their mess and barely put a dent in it. They ended up painting a portion of our baseboards that would not be repainted for our housefire. Unfortunately, in many places, there was still grit from concrete that had been splattered on them, as well as all of the other baseboards in my house. Our job began on Labor Day, we weren't able to move back into our home mid August, 3 additional weeks displaced because of this companies negligence. We have repeatedly asked the owner to discount the final price to allow for all of the cleaning that we have had to do as well as the damage to our property from concrete being attached to baseboards and doorways, but the owner has refused. We told him if he would not make an allowance then he would have to take us to court so a judge can decide what should be discounted and we are scheduled for that in October. They also poured stain out in a rock garden in the front of our home and sat a generator on our lawn that killed our grass, which is still dead to this day three months later, and they broke the key off in our deadbolt. Please save yourself the nightmare and do not hire this company.

It took them almost 2 years to come and look at it and by the time they came to look at the damages it was June of 2025. They came out and told us the owner would have to come look at these damages, he never came so we reached out again in October of 2025. The finally came out well over a year after we initially reached out. They said they wouldn't fix the damages because they were "caused by the hurricane". We told us we reached out in June of 2024 which was before the hurricane. He couldn't show us the "damages" from the hurricane. He refused to even look at the roof. He didn't get on the roof, couldn't show us the damages "caused from the hurricane" and completely refused to help at all. Told us to take him to court. Horrible company. Wouldn't recommend them. From the workmanship, to the people in the office, to the owners. They will do a bad job then refuse to help afterwards. The owner is extremely condescending and refused to help from the beginning.

I got an estimate for a fence repair in December. I was told it would be completed Master's Week…read more A week before the planned start date, I added more to the project. I was told repeatedly that my project was "coming up on the schedule", but never given a new date. It got completed yesterday finally, 6 weeks after the promised date, but not without repeated attempts at communication with them about scheduling - unanswered voicemails, emails, and texts. In addition, I got multiple requests to pay the balance of the invoice before work was even started, despite the original agreement that the full amount wasn't due until completion. I then noticed a late fee tacked onto the invoice, despite the fact that the project hadn't even started. In the end, the work done was fine, but beware of their poor communication, and billing practices.

They came out and did a quick assessment and had the pricing ready in different price packages that I could mix and match. The difference is the discount you get based in what you want done. I needed gutter cleaning and gutter guard installation, roof debris removal, and home soft wash. It was 20% off the full pricing of getting each done individually. The process was quick and they did a good job with noticeable difference afterwards. No more green algae in the side of the house and the gutter guards have worked really well. I don't have a ton of experience with this stuff but I felt the pricing was fair. I've already recommended to a couple of friends. They are professional and courteous, stand by their product and work.

They gave me a quote initially to repair the soffit and fascia, replace a few broken shingles, and fix a leak located around a pipe boot. They gave me a quote initially and then when i finally decided on them their quote ended up being hundreds higher. They cited that higher prices and demand had driven prices up. I said ok, we signed the paperwork and I waited. I called. I waited. I texted. I waited. Finally someone got ahold of me and told me the work had already been done on my home 2 weeks prior. No scheduling. No verification. No sign off. I was not home during this job at all. There were items from the job incomplete. There were still shingles missing and guess what the roof was still leaking. Rocco said that we would have to do a more extensive repair that was not covered in the original bid. We said we would try to get more money from insurance to cover the additional repairs. Rocco stated he would work with the insurance company as he had experience working with insurance companies on the regular. Eventually after calling my insurance company it seemed he had never contacted my insurance. I thought he might be a busy man so I set up a meeting with all 3 of us. Rocco did not join the meeting at the agreed upon time and therefore missed the meeting. My father-in-law who had done roofing before was visiting from across the country and got up on the roof. Stated that it looked like a shoddy job if completed honestly at all. I asked Rocco for all records of my job any paperwork, internal communications, and photos and videos that he said he had from the men doing the job. Rocco said yes and has now ghosted me. I still have a missing shingle and a leak, over a year after the hurricane now. There was no offer to tarp the roof, no customer service, dodging calls, shifting blame, poor business practices, and shifty attitudes. Do not use R.L. Hayes. they may be coasting off their good reputation before Helene but it seems that they have had a very negative turn company wide after the hurricane.
