After a long 3 month of search, my wife and I came across Susan Gailani's profile. Once we met and…read morewent over our project details, Susan's expertise and talent made it clear that we found who we have been looking for a 7 Window treatment project. Our budget was moderate (not too low and not too extravagant). Susan closely listened to our requirements, and made her recommendations based on her vast experience. Our project included practicality, treatment, fashion, and effectiveness. We were looking for a very practical but not cheep window treatment solution, a window touch which brings life to a room, a colorful but not too bold look, and finally an effective seasonal solution to address heat and cooling conservation in a large end unit 1800 sq-ft condo with a total of 8 windows. The project didn't take long before it was complete. measurements were perfect, and the vision was reality. all what she designed came to life. Her expertise and all her recommendations helped make this project fun, exciting and affordable. Not to forget how her installer was immaculate, impeccable, professional, flawless, and perfect. Susan's professional network also included a wide range of contractors who we end up using to install 4 hand-reach closets (same experience). Since we found Susan, we will practically work with her on so many future projects and refer her to so many different friends and relatives.

We highly recommend Susan and Gailani Designs!

What we appreciated the most about Joan was her commitment to really get to know us, what we were looking for and our general preferences and tastes. She then filtered the choices we needed to make to a manageable number of selections. Our situation was somewhat unique in that we have an adult son who lives with us and uses a wheelchair. Our primary intent was not only to upgrade our kitchen and two baths but also make them more accessible for our son. Joan completely got it and embraced it. We are so pleased with the results from both an aesthetic and accessible standpoint.

My wife and I bought a home and wanted a trained eye to give us some advice. Wow have we been impressed! She sits down with us one on one, discusses our budget and then comes up with multiple ideas for each area. I'm not sure we would have even considered some of the ideas on our own. And before we even started she set a budget for her services so you know exactly what to expect. There is no "open checkbook" feeling with her which is far from what you can expect with some designers. I would give her 10 stars if I could. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend! Reasonably priced, super easy to work with, and a stellar eye for design. A++ Although we haven't finished all of our projects you can be certain we will use her from start to finish! We were asked for payment prior to receiving the service. This should have been the first red flag. If we received 25 hours of her time that would be a generous estimation. Evelyn Santiago was more than phenomenal in the work she did for me when I was looking to purchase…read moremy first home. Evelyn paid close attention to what I said I was looking for in a home. She asked the critical questions and knew more about what I would want than I did. She took it one step further to show me homes I never imagined would fit my criteria--but did AND had the "wow" factor I didn't know would be possible at my price point. Evelyn was never high pressure during the process but she gave me insightful advice that was instrumental in making me feel at ease about my decision. I was the typical first-time homebuyer in that I had an idea in my head about the value of the home I was purchasing and even got cold feet at one point. It didn't phase Evelyn; she didn't panic and try to rush me into committing. She simply pointed out the facts about the purchase and let me make the decision. I ultimately decided to purchase and Evelyn didn't stop working once the contract was signed. She was an engaged member of my team during the mortgage approval process all the way up to close. Evelyn amazed me in how easy she made the home buying process. She was so precise in narrowing down the homes to show me. We actually only viewed about 8 homes in 1 day and I ended up purchasing the first home I was shown. Despite only viewing 8 homes and the search only lasting 1 day, what I was shown encompassed what was available on the market. While I was in the process of closing, I still looked online out of curiosity and never saw a home I liked better or that I felt was a better value than what I purchased. Two months in my home and I definitely do not have buyer's remorse. The last thing I want to say about Evelyn is how personable she is! She tailored my homebuying experience to meet my needs--I don't have family close by and while I would have normally included my mother in the process it simply wasn't possible. Evelyn was so accessible and so hands on during the process that I felt as though I could ask her the questions I would have asked my mother. Evelyn made me feel like I was her only client and made up for the fact that I couldn't include my mother in the process. While looking at homes I felt like my mother was right there with me because Evelyn was just as candid as my mother would have been. When the time comes for me to purchase my next home, as long as it is in the Chicagoland area, Evelyn will be the first person I call.
