We were both extremely satisfied with what we decided on. Kaitlin was bubbly and fun and efficiently took our order and checked in on us several times during our visit. Despite the place being a bit busy we didn't feel rushed or unable to hear each other. The place had a lovely vibe with other tourists like ourselves as well as locals and probably university students as well. We didn't stay too late as we had an early start planned for our drive but it looked like the place was setting up for live music. I'd definitely stop in here again for a meal or a drink if I'm in the area.

Well, we both ordered something as it was hard to decide what to get! I could not pass up the tuna nachos. I love sushi so this was an easy decision for me. I usually get it "my way" without any spicy sauce on it. I expected a good appetizer but this exceeded my expectations. The tuna was perfectly seared, chips were crispy, and I loved the extra touch of sesame seeds and radish sprouts. Hubby liked his burger - especially the onion ring on it. Honestly, I can't recall what he said about it too much as I was quite focused on my nachos. Definitely would come here again!

While we were wandering we found PJ Murphy's! It's a pub style restaurant with a bar on one side and tables and booths throughout. There are well situated TVs closer to the bar and they were showing the hockey games at the time. It was a cooler day and we had to wait a bit before being seated which was fine because they have a real fireplace right by the doors for you to warm up. They were able to seat our party with some rearranging of tables. The host that led us to our seats warned us that it was a busy night and apologized in advance for the service being slow. It was nice of him to do so but it was actually quite reasonable! Their menu featured many Irish themed dishes. I don't think it was just for St Patty's Day so you get to enjoy it anytime. The Irish stew sounded pretty irresistible and it was! It came plated very stylishly, more than I would have expected for a pub! The stew was very hearty with LOTS of meat and carrots, potatoes, and onions cooked to perfection. There was also a large puff pastry that was served on the side. This was seasoned generously and a wonderful accompaniment. I thought it was pretty unique addition. My boyfriend ordered the Shepherd's Pie. This was another modern plated dish. The pie filling could be seen quite well as there was only a swirl of potatoes in the middle, kind of like whipped cream on a dessert which was not exactly as expected. It was also a much smaller portion than my entree so he wound up eating some of mine. The service really wasn't bad at all! Drinks and food were received in a timely manner and we were offered refills too. When it came time to pay for the cheque, they were willing to let us each pay separate which was no small feat for a table of 7 and was much appreciated by us.

This made guests leave, and her behavior negatively impacted the atmosphere of the bar.As we left she disrespected my party and I, who definitely spent way more than the two friends she seemed to only have enough time for. Overall, the attitude and effort were absolutely poor, and id say worst rated bar so far she made it clear she wanted to close and lock the doors totally shorting us on drinks and constantly whispering about us so disrespectful and we have no problem spending our money where its deserved id NEVER set foot there again knowing a mouth like her works there. Knowing she doesn't appreciate that her day isn't wasted, especially since we brought in more guests when we walked in.. But it seems she could care less Willies says open till 2 but she wanted to close at 10 which i understand if you got no business. I should have knew this was gonna be our experience since clearly over the phone she sounded miserable. People pay to have a good time, No one should work in a place they dont have the time for, my friends and i are customers willing to spend. And the only thing we spent was a good time wasted by her. My company made it all the worth while thank goodness otherwise i think my night would have been ruined overall. Miserable people should never be trusted in any business. Worst time ever.Drinks terrible unless you drink from a can or bottle. She needs to be retrained for pouring and her attitude. She represents your bar and i wouldnt recommend anyone deal with that.
