If I could, I would give this place LESS than 1 star (Yelp should offer NEGATIVE stars because I wouldn't even give this place the satisfaction of a negative Star!). I will NEVER set foot into this shit-hole again. I have a trailer home in the islands and I am a regular visitor to the islands now for close to 40 years. I frequent the areas bars, restaurants, clubs and entertainment venues and spend decent $$$ at each. Last night was the topper. It was Pirates Weekend in the Bay. I went into the Downtown Club. I was in full Pirate regalia. I was asked for proof (no problem, even if I'm 68, but I understand). I walked into the foyer to see if a good friend of mine was bartending. 2 bouncers aggressively came up to me and said, "where is your wrist band"? (Unknowingly that i even needed one). I said, "what wtistband? I'm just looking for ----- to see if hes bartending tonight. They said, he's not here today and told me to get the Fu** out. They forceably grabbed me by the back of my coat and PUSHED OUT THE DOOR". I was NOT being nasty at all to them (not in my nature), nor have I ever had any previous confrontations there. They were just plain overwhelmed and nasty because of the crowd and most likely put up with craziness all day long, but there was no reason for them to take out any of their aggression on me at all. Apparently they are charging $20 just to walk through the door and their drinks average, around $10 to $15 and up each, in a 9oz plastic cup. So if you want to spend a small fortune for little to nothing, this is your place to go. They have nothing to offer for a $20 admission. NO live music (just a DJ Spinning Tecno Music), NO Drink or food special, basically, NO NOTHING. In any respect, overwhelmed or not, that is no respectful way to treat a customer. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I work too hard for my money and I refuse to put ONE CENT over the bar of this inhospitable place. I know a lot of people whereas I am in entertainment and a personality in the Buffalo NY area and known throughout the country promoting my own genre. I may not know enough people to deter that would even frequent this hovel, to put them out of business, but I WILL do my utmost to get the word out to 10's of thousands of my contacts to avoid this place if theyre ever to visit Alexandria Bay. There's more CIVIL ways to handle a situation other than putting addle minded baboons at the door. read more

Came here on a Wednesday evening with a group of 11 ladies for a ladies night out! The good: Great waitress who took care of our large group! Was quick with getting us our drinks and checks. Drinks-had the downtown and pirates drink. Both were tasty and not a bad price. The Bad: Pizza! One of the worst pizzas I have had, especially for one made in a brick-Oven. I expected so much better and was sadly disappointed. Would go back for drinks and a night out at the bar but not for their food. read more

This place was so much fun and unique! This place is newly renovated on the inside and changed up. Apparently, it used to be like a dance club, but the new owner wanted to tone it down a little since it's in a family tourist location. The décor was fantastic! I've been bored with the typical restaurants which all look the same with a bland bar and pub food styled look. This was SO refreshing. Our table was decorated as a chess board and there were whimsically oversized chess pieces nearby to play with! They kept some of the unique décor though such as swings at the bar (yes, swings!), the light up dance floor, dance poles for special events, and the horse saddle bar stools. They have a giant projection screen playing something from TV (at the time was a car race) and they have a stage for bands. They have 2 bars and even an oven pizza bar to sit at. And the bathrooms?? They were so awesome!! Walking into the women's room, you see doors which all looks like phone booths, but really were stalls. I felt like I was in a speakeasy! The waitress was one of the best waitresses I've come across. She was so through with describing the food to us that I thought she was the owner (but she wasn't). We asked her some questions about what the place was before and she excitedly explained the changes made and the goals the restaurant owner has for the place. She made me excited for them and now we can't wait to come back to see their progress. I got a new type of drink which was a coconut margarita. They had a selection of mixed drinks I hadn't seen before, which was exciting. The waitress recommended the fried pickles, which we got and they were fantastic. I never get burgers, but their selection was also refreshingly new and unique, so my husband and myself got what I think was called "The Hangover". It was PERFECT!! The food came out without us having to wait too long. The prices for everything, including the drinks, were exactly as expected and not overpriced. I do not even want to give this place a 1star. Every time I've been there workers always make it hard for the customers to have a good time. Especially the bartender Brittney or whatever her name is. She's very cocky, doesn't even listen when people talk to her. I've witnessed a lot last night and this isn't the 1st time she's been just god awful rude! If the company would play back their cameras they'd see! Watched a person ask for a drink (mind you it's super loud in there after 8pm) she ignored them the 1st time which I get it does get busy. She finally came up to them and asked what they wanted and the person yelled to make sure she could hear him and she yells back if you're going to yell you can GTFO. He goes ma'am I just wanted to make sure you could hear me. She goes nope go, get out! Wouldn't even serve him. Everyone with him was like what just happened. I myself was like wow. No one thought he was being rude or anything she didn't care, anyone who agreed with him she also kicked out! Seems like that's her go to, to throw people out. I don't recommend their company at all it's not worth the prices! Every other bar in the bay is free to get in and their beers/food are 1/2 the price! I do recommend Skiffs though, right across the street and had 2 floors! Interesting speakeasy/dancehall/gamehall decor, but confusing. Hard to tell what they were trying to do with the concept. Music selection was weird, all over the place from different eras, though maybe it was just an "easy-going fun" playlist on Spotify. We were seated in the back of the restaurant for some reason, even though there were tables in the main area. I ordered a lobster mac and cheese, but the server kept saying lobster bisque. Asked me if I wanted a cup or a bowl, which wasn't an option for the lobster mac on the menu, so to confirm, I asked "this is the lobster mac and cheese right?" and he says "yeah, the lobster bisque." I gave him the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to the music just being loud, and bisque is usually good, so if he charges me for a bisque and I get a bisque, no big deal. It took forever to get our food. When it was finally brought out, the server said "here's your lobster mac and cheese" when he placed it in front of me. I was actually handed the bisque, or something they call a bisque, but it really was a thick, gelatinous concoction with what seemed to be shredded imitation crab in it. No macaroni at all. I took a few bites because I was so hungry but it was just so terrible to the point where I had a headache all day. Super sweet and super starchy. Two others with me had gotten burgers. Both orders were mixed up and one didn't even get fries--the server didn't even wait to see if they had everything they needed or if he had even placed the right orders in front of the right person (he hadn't). One of the burgers was a gradient of rareness, being charred on one end and then decreasingly cooked as you progressed to the other end until it was rare. We joked that maybe the party was cooked on its side and rolled around. One burger also had an egg put into it that actually should have gone into the other. We weren't checked on until the others with me had just finished their food, and by then we just wanted to be out of there. We asked for the checks and I told the server I was actually handed the bisque. I should have just asked him to charge me for that (it was $8 vs the mac being $14) because I didn't want anything else from there. He apologized for the mix-up, he had keyed it in as a bisque, said they got a new chef recently, and in less than 5 minutes brought out a very small box of what he said was the lobster mac and cheese. New chef or not, the service was still awful, and I get everyone has bad days so I tried to be nice by not making a big deal of it. Despite "having keyed the order in as a bisque," however, I was still charged the full price for the mac and cheese. I should have just walked out. read more

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Two hosts met us at the door, one asking "Are you here for food or the bar?" The second asking "How many?" When my wife answered "food", the second host said (with a tone of impatience), "I asked how many..." This was the first issue we had. We were seated in an enclosed patio like room with a large open window beside us. We ordered calamari, a few drinks, a burger for me and a flatbread pizza for my wife. The breading/batter on the calamari fell off as soon as touched and the calamari itself was just ok. The marinara sauce on the side was ice cold. The burger was pretty good but nothing special. The flatbread pizza was just "ok" as well, but had a nice crust. The drinks were not too bad. While eating, a bee flew in the window and stung me on my hand but I will not let that influence my review. While the place itself looked fun and entertaining and had a great atmosphere, overall, it was standard fare and nothing special. read more

This place is pretty cool. During the summer months there are a decent amount of ppl in there every weekend. The staff are chill and it's the only club in A-Bay. You'll be surprised when you walk in at the fact that such a small summer town can have a good club like this. They have swings by the bars girls like to sit on and during the night they will have girls dancing in the cages above their dance floor. Two different areas for bars so its never crazily crowded. Def. should stop in. read more

Was here during Pirates week bartenders were cool but the bouncers were not. Took 30 friends into town spent hundreds of dollars they decided they wanted to start charging to get in TO LISTEN TO A DJ which I wasnt going too pay but they made me pay in order to close my tab. The bartenders were ticked that we were all leaving and offered us free drinks but because of the jerk bouncers we were thru with it. Not very smart business sence.
