Do or Die Mysteries - Crab cake with fries

    Do or Die Mysteries

I had a great time with Do or Die Mysteries at the Perry restaurant location in Olney…read more The Vibe: Favorite destination to the locals everyone is fun and talks with the people at their table. They don't recommend for kids/teens, because people are joking and talking ish and some of the improv could take a spicy turn at any moment. The chef and the actors walk around to the tables and introduce themselves. People come here to let out a laugh and unwind. The Food: Delicious! The crab cake sandwich was big/fresh all lumps with crispy hot fries that did not disappoint. The package comes with several options, from homestyle meat loaf to Mediterranean salad with chicken stuffed pita that my friend said was really good. You get 2 courses and a non-alcohol beverage. Dessert was good, a dark fudge cake with strawberries and whipped cream, enjoyable. The Drinks: The 2 martini's I had weren't blended well. I would stick with wine or something like a rum & coke. The Storyline: Creative and funny, about a dating show where the two contestants need to stay together for 3 years to get the million-dollar jackpot. Only issue, there's a love triangle. So, you can imagine who all had motives to secure the bag. They bring the audience into the story with question prompts and even had me in the hot seat for questioning by a detective. So hilarious! Looking for something different to do and you feel like meeting people over good food and theater, THIS IS IT!

You can participate or not in the show, as much or as little as you choose. The non-alcoholic beverages are included but they do offer alcohol for purchase. The servers were super and the cast was amazing. You can heckle the cast, ask questions of the suspects or just sit back and watch the performance. The show was full of humor and some double-entendres. The restaurant was a little chilly so where something a little heavier or bring a coat. Best 3.5 hours I've spent in a while and totally worth the ticket price. The whole show takes place in and around the diners making for an up close and personal experience. Don't miss going to one of their shows. Totally worth it!

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Vegan main course was a veggie stew with rice and potatoes. We adored the entire meal.

I purchased my tickets online with a work discount because it can be expensive for a family of 6. Parking is at the Arundel Mills Mall. The entrance is located inside the mall. The show is really theatrical and exciting. You are routing for your team in sections with colored flags. There is a lot of screaming to show support for your team. The food is passed out and you are expected to eat with your fingers. Please pack your own silverware if using your fingers is not something you want to do. I also had to wait for the server to bring us silverware which took some time. There are alcoholic beverages to purchase for adults of course along with sovernier cups which my kids begged for. The food is just ok. The show is very entertaining and I was very happy with the show. The entertainment performers were very gracious with taking tons of pictures after the show. I will definitely recommend this for a family outing.

Paid $23 extra per person for Celebration Upgrade, which gave us a framed photo, preferred seating, extra dessert, a flag, and early entry. The only things worthwhile in that list are the photo and the preferred seating. The cake slice was bad, and the other 2 things aren't really worth it since seating is assigned. Before you are let into the seating area, you can explore the open area with the gift shop and bar, but there wasn't a clear bar menu to order from. SHOW: The show was fun. Very loud so maybe bring some ear plugs to protect your hearing. The seating we got was unobstructed and nice, other people's seats had a net for safety. Props to the actors in the show for their hard work. FOOD: Pleasantly surprised by most of it. Tomato soup was alright, though I wish I got a little bit more and that the garlic bread came at the same time as the soup for dipping. Garlic bread was alright too but tasty enough. The half chicken was the star of the show - the dark meat was extremely juicy, hot, and tender. Even the breast meat was excellent and not dry. It was just messy eating with hands only and would have appreciated the wet wipe to already be on the table rather than be passed out. The accompany buttered corn and potato were also delicious and hot. The dessert was the only bad part - the cake with funfetti frosting was dry and tasted kind of stale and cloyingly sweet. The eclair was bland and dry. SERVICE: Bar wench was a little snippy lol. Waitress lost her voice and could barely hear her but she was great. She was having a rough night, we could tell - sweating and lifting the heavy trays must have been really difficult. Hard job, everyone should tip them well. Honestly just felt bad for her. Pricey experience but worth it for a fun celebration or experience every now and then. Tips are not included - cash or Venmo/cashapp only, so be prepared.

From the roadside, you might never guess that this unassuming spot is actually a top-notch restaurant, let alone a perfect choice for a romantic night out. Tucked away in a more residential area, it's a delightful surprise that proves great dining doesn't always announce itself loudly. The food was exceptionally fresh and absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted thoughtfully prepared, with high-quality ingredients that truly shine. It's clear that Cafe Mezzanotte takes pride in using locally sourced food and wine, and that commitment comes through in both flavor and presentation. Each bite felt refined yet comforting--exactly what you hope for in a memorable dinner. Our experience was made even better by our waitress, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever being overbearing. Her warm personality added to the relaxed, intimate atmosphere and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. Inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated--elegant, cozy, and inviting. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. There's also a very nice bar area, ideal if you're stopping by just for drinks with friends or arriving early for a cocktail before dinner. Practical details are a bonus here: there's plenty of parking available, and while reservations are offered, they aren't strictly required. All in all, Cafe Mezzanotte is a hidden gem--an outstanding dining experience in an unexpected location. Whether you're planning a romantic evening or a relaxed night out with friends, this place is absolutely worth a visit. P.S. I forgot to take pictures as when the food arrived I just dug right in! Next will upload pictures...I promise!

We started attending and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. She liked being able to do half dance and half tap in the class. After a few classes my daughter told me that she did not want to go anymore. She started to come out of the class midway through and told me that she did not want to go in. I didn't think it was any fault of the studio per say but I'm not interested in forcing my 3 year old to be committed to extra dancing if she doesn't want to. When I wrote the studio to let them know that she had decided to discontinue classes I received this response: "Thank you for your email, its surprising to hear that your 3 year old has made this decision. Clearly she is not ready for this level of dance training and class structure. She will be better suited to a recreational studio. We wish you much success in your the future. Colleen Kocur" I wanted to share this information with others out there in the local area so that you know what kind of people you will be working with. If this is the attitude and level of professionalism that you want your children to be met with then by all means enroll. I will not be recommending this studio to anyone that I know. If you're looking for a studio that empowers and encourages young dancers I've got another one to suggest so please feel free to contact me about that one. Many good wishes for this holiday season to you and yours! Christy Hines
