To a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, pancake machine, and a spread of oatmeal, cereal, scramble eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit & gravy. And an assortment of carbs. Despite that, the front desk forced a $150 hold on my card at check-in. This was never disclosed properly beforehand. This was not about affordability--it was about honesty and principle. To make matters worse, while staff argued about this issue, my son and grandson were left waiting outside in the cold for nearly 45 minutes. No apology. No urgency. No concern. Now, five days later, the $150 has still not been released back to my account. That is completely unacceptable. A "temporary hold" should not take nearly a week to return, especially when it should never have been placed in the first place. This hotel showed zero transparency, zero empathy, and zero professionalism. If you value clear policies and basic customer care, stay somewhere else.

We stood around asking if anyone was there and nobody even looked at us. I grabbed a bottle of water before walking out and finally, from around the corner comes your employee named Jesus. He was chewing food and seemed bothered that we interrupted his snack! I was trying to book information for a wedding that we're having in our family and I wanted information regarding room prices and amenities, but he was very short with me and seemed very put out that he had to check prices and give me some quotes. I am a connoisseur of hotels as I travel a lot for work and I am so glad that we are Marriott guests. I have never been treated like this in a Marriott property. I think if you're going to work front desk, specially in the evenings, you should be a little more kind to people just walking in trying to find information about your hotel. I am a Yelp affiliate and it is my job to review people and so you never know who's gonna be walking in to your property and the guests and our voices are the most important in the business because if the guests aren't happy the hotel isn't doing well. I hope that things get better for you guys and perhaps we will try again at a different time thank you for your attention in this matter..

She gave us half off of the amount we paid back to us. She says that they have someone coming to take care of the cockroach problem and she is aware of the ongoing probles with this place. I wish I could give more stars because she was very nice but I literally couldn't sleep all night because it was so bad (they were completely booked and had no other room to move us and nowhere nearby had any rooms available so we had no other option). I definitely would never stay here again but hopefully Rosey can get this place in working order. She has the customer service part down! Thanks for the help Rosey. It's Labor Day weekend and we decided to book a last min trip here. This was the only room under $400 a night. It ended up being $240 for the night. Since it's only one night we figured we would just take a chance because the reviews were horrible. BIG mistake. When we walked in the main light did not work. Then I went to take a shower and there is black mold all over the bathroom walls and ceiling (pic taken) I then go to put my stuff away and there is a dead cockroach on the ground. Absolutely disgusting (pic taken). It's already so late and I'm exhausted and I'm my pjs so I am not walking all the way to the office. I then go to lay down and there is green discharge looking stuff on the pillow (pic taken) Im so grossed out. Never again!!!! I'm so paranoid that I will wake up to cockroaches everywhere. I cannot sleep. Seriously, $240 for this disgusting room? What a sick joke.

Review of shorebird 55 (Let me begin by saying that this review was submitted to At the Dunes…read morerental agency but never posted on their site.) Pros: *excellent beach access * lovely ocean view Cons: *furniture, towels, sheets in generally rundown condition *master bedroom has 1 bedside table and 1 lamp. I ended bringing in a small corroded outdoor iron table and moving a lamp from the second bedroom. * one floor lamp in the entire living room. Generally poor lighting. *Peeling paint in bathroom *mold in bathroom corners *uncomfortable living room furniture-outdoor wicker, way past it's comfort usage. No support. *unwashed sheets in second bedroom, unwashed towel in master bath. ( the rental agency was very responsive about this) In this time of Covid, these discoveries made our stay uncomfortable. Was this place really sanitized before our arrival? My point here is that a rental at the beach, for $400+/ night, should be comfortable in all aspects. This was not. For a total of $1800 for four nights, I would have expected much more.

Is this someone's negected bequest? Pajaro Dunes Shorebirds #115 review (through VRBO)…read more We love Pajaro Dunes and have fond memories of our friends' lovely condo. This one in comparison--meh! Would definitely not stay there again. The property was clean enough but not stocked with minimal kitchen staples (like flour, cooking oil, aluminum foil). With VRBO you expect better. The patio furniture was so torn, cracked and ripped, our adult daughter had a huge blood blister after sitting on a green plastic chair. (See photos) This is not acceptable. Nor is the master bathroom door where you had to close the door completely in order to use the toilet. It was so cramped--and I'm only 5'1. Do not stay here if you are used to comfort, cooking, or a patio where you can sit out and see the sky. For $2000 for three nights, we expected a lot more than Shorebird #115.
