When you first enter it's not what you expect a distillery to look or feel like. It's filled with greenery throughout and the display of their liquor on the shelf and barrels gave it a nice and unique touch. Parking was a little iffy to find since it's in an industrial area, but the interior and service make it worth it. The bartender was really friendly and informed us that they make all their drinks and liquor in house! I love the way he crafted our drinks too, the garnishes were perfect! The day we went they had Star Wars specials for May 4th--I thought that was a fun add-on. We had a Daiquiri, Dirty Martini and two Aggressively Friendly cocktails! They were a mixture of rum and vodka. You could definitely taste the alcohol in the drinks, but the flavor of the mixed items within the cocktails blended well. I'd love to come back and try their other liquor options. If they offer tours, I'd love to explore more of their background and what they have to offer. Perfect place for solo, couples, friends and furry friends to enjoy--will be back!

You could tell the passion and family like atmosphere at J Henry. Our tour guide was Elista. The history and background was so interesting, it gave us a tremendous appreciation for their craft. The tasting at the end was so much fun, again, we learned so much about their brand. We then headed to the bar to continue. Next time we will take more time to try the bistro. We became fans of their bourbon and we will be back.

The brunette bartender wouldn't acknowledge us at all--no eye contact, no response--even when we tried to ask a simple question, just moving on to the next customer. When we finally got to the blonde bartender, the experience didn't improve. She seemed uninterested in helping, rolled her eyes when we asked questions, and was dismissive when my wife asked if her drink could be made less sweet, saying "that's just how it is." I also asked a question about one of their bourbons and was told to go to the store where they could tell me, which didn't make much sense and would have meant starting the whole order process over again. We even overheard another customer mention they'd been dealing with the same attitude all night, so it didn't seem like an isolated incident. This was our second visit. The first time, on a similarly busy Sunday, everything was great--which makes this even more disappointing. Based on this experience, it will likely be our last visit.
