I went in to purchase 3 kids sized bathing suits, finally managed to rake through the clutter and find the sizes I needed. When I got to the register the man changed the price on me 3 times, each time higher than the last. When I tried correcting him on the price his response was 'well how am I supposed to know' which was interesting because the only 2 workers he had in the store told us he was the owner and they seemed to be heavily under the influence of something. read more

This store is a mess. Went here today in search of beach towels. Barely found them through mountains of tshirts and hoodies. Flip flops strewn all over the floor (tripping hazard), shirts piled on the floor, boxes overflowing with even more shirts.... Saying that it's a mess is an understatement. It looks like he went on an ordering spree and gave up after opening all the boxes. This guy needs to close for a couple weeks and clean up this store. It's shameful! read more

All of the clothes are extremely overpriced with stains. Some even from the fast fashion store, shien, charging 3x the price. Store was messy and unorganized with some clothing just missing price tags. The last place i would go for any gifts. read more

Would leave zero stars if I could. T-shirt we purchased had a decal applied crookedly. We came back to the store and politely asked the store owner to redo the shirt. He was immediately confrontational and angry and we got a lecture about how he's been doing this for four years and never had an issue before us. He remade the shirt and it was even worse, clearly crooked. We asked for a refund and he said he does not give refunds. I would avoid this place like the plague. Absolutely dreadful customer service. Edited to add that I work in retail, at a very prominent store, and I know how to give good customer service. St. Simons Beachwear's leadership has no idea how to provide even passable customer service, and there's no reason to shop at a place like that when there are so many other great apparel options right across the street from them. read more

Beware!! No prices on swimsuits. Swim tops are about twice the price of other places. No place to try on, either. Didn't notice until I tried it on back at condo the strap was broken. When I tried to return it, I was told all sales are final. No sign is posted. I was told the sign was taken down a few days ago. He did exchange it, but I really didn't want it at that point. My husband bought a sticker and was charged double the posted price. Gotta love tourist traps. I really do know better, just a lapse in judgement. Wish I had seen these reviews before I shopped here. We purchased a long sleeve and short sleeve T-shirt. Initially impressed because we could pick our own decals. Seems to go smoothly until 2 days later when the decals started coming off one shirt. We were traveling and had left the area by then. I notified the Owner and he said no problem he will do up another shirt, but 100% at my expense for shipping. I was pretty surprised as this was clearly his mistake and the appropriate response would have been to apologize and make things right. Now I faced having to spend yet more money on this darn T-shirt. He was extremely rude to us. I should have just thrown the shirt away and chalked it up to buyer beware. I broke down and paid to have the shirt shipped. What a time suck to be dealing with this on our vacation. A new shirt was later received. We thought that was the end of it. Well, 2 washings later, the other shirt started peeling and now it has lost the entire logo on front. Need I say more? Steer clear of this place!! read more

Came by on Saturday, April 7th at 340pm. Sign on door said "Be back at 430. Sorry for the inconvenience." Went back at 430 and it was still closed. About 435 a young lady came out and said they were closed for the rest of the day as she hoped in the car with her buddies. Folks, this is a vacation town, on a Saturday, over Spring Break. It had been raining the last hour or two so people were off the beach trying to do some last minute shopping. If I could give this less then 1 star I would. Terrible business model and a terrible way to treat those that come for vacation looking for souvenirs to purcha$e. Hopefully when they go out of business, the store that takes its place will learn from these owner's mistakes. Looking forward to visiting the new place in the future! read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I have sent fam and friends here before but NEVER again. My wife selected a shirt from the rack up front in a section with a certain price posted and it said free print with shirt. Selected a print and the guy said it was out of stock and he recommended another to her. She said okay. She came out and looked at her receipt and it was more than double the price. I went back in and he said that shirt is a different price (He never mentioned the orice difference before printing and the sign for that was in very back of store, not with the shirts) and he charged for the print front and back (again never mentioned until after he printed it and charged us).He said "SHE CHOSE the only print with a charge." I reminded him he chose it for her after the other supposedly was out. He offered no refund and was extremely rude to my whole family. NEVER SHOP HERE! read more

This store is very pushy from the second you walk in until the second you leave, they are a bit pricey too, they have a faded sign that says no returns after 14 days, they wouldn't let my sister return an unworn dress she bought with me. They have some kind of convoluted return policy. My advice is just don't shop here, there are plenty more on the island. read more

Felt compelled to leave a review in hopes that the owner sees it. My wife and I shopped here yesterday for about 10 minutes. The dreadlocked guy was clearly startled when we walked in, like he'd seen nobody all day. He was clearly under the influence of something much stronger than weed. It was about 2pm and he walked past us to go turn the store music on without saying a word. We smelled something odd (not weed) when we walked in. He proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes behind the counter in a drugged dance with himself, staring at the ground and moving forward and backward, as if he was having some type of severe withdrawals. He looked incapable of functioning (seriously), I've seen homeless drug addicts look more capable of helping a customer. So we opted to leave and go spend $150 at a great store around the corner. As we got out the door 20 feet to our car, he was already outside the front door frantically sucking down whatever he's addicted to from his handheld bowl like it was oxygen and he just held his breath for 10 straight minutes. There were a few hoodies I liked but they were each on a mannequin and nowhere to be found in the store. I'm sure at this time of the year, they're just keeping it running with a warm body in the store. To the owner: you should reconsider your hiring practices because whatever you think you're saving by hiring these close to minimum wage employees, you seem (from the reviews) that you're losing money and customers. Before you know it, word spreads and you're out of business. Signs on the door to wear a mask upon entry, yet I'd bet $5 if I threw the worker a mask, he wouldn't be able to catch it from me, much less figure out how to put it on. I happily pulled my mask down and shopped once I saw him feenin behind the counter for another hit of whatever he was smoking (meth?). Good luck to this store. Plenty of better choices 1-2 blocks around the corner towards the water. We were happy we left empty handed once we saw the inventory in the other places. read more

Do not purchase from this store. We just left. We were standing at the counter for 10 minutes. The thin brunette at the counter was on the phone. She saw us and gave us eye contact and continued talking personal business on the phone. We waited another 10 minutes and then we left. This employee would be fired if she worked anywhere else. Her commitment to customer service is nonexistent. We come to St Simons island every year and easily spend 250.00 on T- shirts and souvenirs for all the kids and grandkids. Don't shop here!! I bought a t-shirt and it wasn't until I got home that the design seeped through to the front of the t-shirt as well when the guy was pressing it onto the back. Now they don't even answer the phone!! I'm States away and can't do a thing about it! There t-shirts also rub off onto your white shorts so the dye is not colorfast!! read more

Avoid shopping here! Recently I bought a shirt that was printed in the store incorrectly by the male attendant behind the counter. My wife and I specifically said that we wanted the design on the front. It was bad enough that he was unprofessional behind the counter, just tossing my receipt on the counter instead of putting it in my hand, but upon leaving the store and checking the shirt, my wife and I found that he had printed it in the back instead of the front. After I walked back into the store and pointed out his mistake, he copped and attitude, was nasty, and had the audacity to accuse my wife and me of "not being specific." I said that my wife and I made it clear that we wanted the design on the shirt's front, and not the back. He rudely interrupted me, and angrily told me to get another shirt, and he'll do it again. I asked if there was a problem. He just angrily said the same thing again. I picked out the same colored shirt, and he corrected the mistake. Afterwards, I asked who owns the store so I could tell them about his poor customer service. He said nothing and walked away, out from the counter, and towards the back of the store. This has to be the worst customer experience I've ever had. If it had not been for the "no refunds/exchanges only" policy, I would've gotten my money back. I STRONGLY encourage you to avoid this store and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere! read more
