St Peters is a lovely old Traditional church in a really beautiful setting and it is extremely friendly & welcoming here. You can be assured of a very warm welcome. The vicar here is also very nice, very approachable. The church has a lovely atmosphere both inside and outside. It hasn't gone happy clappy like some cofe churches has but is very traditional in its church services. Its Not a ''High church'' neither is it ''Low church'' its somewhere in the middle.I found it to be even nicer than Holy Trinity...that was a nice church also but I think st peters is way nicer and is way more friendly & welcoming. If you want to know more and you're looking for a nice friendly traditional cofe church in Sutton Coldfield area then I can recommend you take a look at st peters...its lovely here. They cater also for children & families at this church and there's a womens fellowship & Mothers Union also at this church...and the services are 10.30 & 6.30 pm.After the morning service there is coffee and cakes in the church hall which is connected to the church building so if its wet and rainy you don't have to cross a courtyard getting wet like you do at Holy Trinity.Holy Trinity is a nice church also but I think st peters beats it hands down, and you don't have a steep climb up a hill to get to the church like you do with holy trinity.
I recommend you visit st peters it is a lovely church in such a beautiful setting...ideal also for a wedding, and as I said the vicar here matthew is a very warm & friendly man and its a very friendly welcoming congregation. The church is also really beautiful inside.
This church ticks All the boxes for me...so do give it a try.Another local church that I recommend which is also very Traditional & very friendly and welcoming is Emmanuel,Green Lanes,Wylde Green....its No longer the very ''High'' church that it used to be...but do come & visit st peters and see for yourself how lovely this church is..they have a choir & the organ, wooden pews(which a lot of churches don't have now) and all the old beautiful hymns from yesteryear, with the odd newer song thrown in as well.
You can be assured of a very warm welcome as soon as you walk through the church doors here,as well as at Emmanuel Wylde Green.Emmanuels services are 10.00 & 6.30 and st peters 10.30.
So if you're looking for a Traditional church service in the Anglican tradition with a lovely welcoming atmosphere in beautiful surroundings then do please give both Emmanuel & St Peters Maney a visit.I highly recommend both and they have sunday school for children plus a crèche so do come along. read more
