Ron's Thrift and Resale is an interesting stop if you are into bargain hunting in the Melbourne…read morearea. I believe Ron gets his inventory mainly from estate sales. Aisles are filled with new and used items with some vintage and antiques thrown in. As I traversed the shelves in the aisles I found collectibles, books, home goods, furniture, toys, clothes, bath products. jewelry, and more. A back room was dedicated to Christmas decorations. I didn't personally try but I read that Ron is open to offers. There was a lot of inventory to check out. Some of it seemed overpriced while other things were more in line with what I think they should cost. While the prices may not be rock bottom low, the quality, variety, and potential for unique finds makes Ron's Thrift and Resale worth checking out.

I found a really nice and unique collection at Buried Treasures in Sebastian. I purchased an old Mercury Atlas model kit. I checked their price against one I found on eBay. Their kit was slightly less in cost than the eBay kit. The beauty of buying it at Buried Treasures is that there is no shipping cost unlike eBay, where the shipping cost at times can exceed the cost of the item itself. They have a number of OOP (out of production ) space model kits, all complete and a bunch of other cool stuff that I took photos of in case anybody else is interested.. I know I would appreciate a heads up when someone finds a cool stash of space related memorabilia.

The First Presbyterian Church Thrift Store is located behind Sebastian City Hall. The store is…read moreoperated by church volunteers and proceeds are used to support the missions of the church. I love a church thrift store and this one is especially welcoming thanks to muralist Carol Makris of Artistic Brushworks. Members of First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian found her on the internet and hired her to spruce up the exterior of their thrift store. Their only requirements was for it to be colorful and that it would make people smile. Carol came up with a cheerful seaside cottage concept. It is so fun to look for all of he details in the mural like a calico cat staring longingly at a cardinal in a birdbath, a monarch butterfly, and beautiful flowers. Trove of Blessings Cottage was dedicated on July 18th, 2024 as part of the Mural Trail Project. The thrift store consists of the main buildings and two outside sheds with further discounted items. They sell clothes, accessories, shoes, art, housewares, books, and collectibles. Clothing had additional markdowns and the other prices were inexpensive. Stop by and find a treasure while supporting a worthy charity.

They have quite a variety of items including, home decor, furniture, clothes, art, crafts, collectibles, accessories, home goods, pet items, toys, books, movies, and holiday decorations. My favorite find was a like new Ronco Showtime Rotisserie for $50. I cook my Thanksgiving turkey in it every year. They stopped making them and they have become a collectors item. The olive martini flip flops gave me a chuckle. I also loved their craft corner, great for teachers to pick up inexpensive supplies. This thrift store helps keep items out of landfills, provides low cost items to the community, and rescues animals. When you need an item think thrift.

CANDLES, GIFTS AND HOME DECOR!…read more This is a cute little candle shop that is stocked with candles, home décor such as wind chimes, infusers and more. The first thing I noticed about the shop is that glorious scent as soon as you enter the store. It is wonderful and never something that can be purchased because it is a combination of scents and fragrances. They do have a nice candle selection of candles beginning with the Yankee candles and the hard to find long stem candles which add a touch of elegance to any space. They even have candles that crackle when they burn and definitely remind you of fall and being close to the fireplace. They have lots of little "machines and things" that seamlessly fit into your décor and introduce wonderful scents into the air. If you like the scent of a candle without the flame, try the wax pottery. They have those special "Poo-Pourri sprays" that are great for keeping things fresh (if you know what I mean). You simply spray and go and all is right with the world. If you want to set an elegant holiday table, they have these miniature tree branches that light up and can easily be incorporated into a very nice centerpiece. The possibilities are endless! All of that aside, I was drawn to the beautiful cards that they have available. I think the specific companies are Blue Mountain and Mosaic. These are modern cards for modern times. They beautifully express my thoughts and feelings and I just love them. I like to just buy a few for times when I am missing friends or just want others to know how much I appreciate them. They are highly recommended. You'll want to stop here while you are in town because this is a really nice store with great employees.
