The superintendent communicates well, has various platforms to share updates and school issues. There are also a range of parent groups, advisory boards, PTA etc that are led by caring members of the community/parents. The after school programs and daycare options are essential for working parents. Some kids stay late until past 5:30 (program i believe goes until 6), the school is going through renovation of various portions of the school. Their hvac system seems to do what it needs to and parents are kept aware of power outages during fire season or heat waves, they make plans for back up activities etc. The teachers are well qualified, they got better even after the pandemic...which incentivizes the district to hold on to caring qualified teachers. Despite the lack of green space at this school, my kids enjoy their recess time and engaging with friends on the play structure and in the well kept library. I know they are working to find a music teacher but those are hard roles to fill. Public schools can make more use of parents who engage in school activities/planning. Unhappy with something, find out how the district spends their funds and engage in an open meeting. My only "complaint" is that I wish they were staffed with a school nurse. But its not mandatory by the state education system so they dont have to try and fill that void.

My son had great experiences going to The Nutcracker ballet, learning to read, playing with others, and naptime. Samudra is very concerned with our kiddos' well-being, both academically and personally. The Montessori program is a perfect blend of play and performance, allowing each child to grow in a safe and supportive environment. Go THERE - check it out. It's just like home, but with all the things kiddos need to learn about the world in which we live.

We walk into a huge class of about 34 children and one teacher playing a keyboard while another is standing with them. All the children are standing with very little space to move trying to follow along. There was no sense of organization. As she is showing us the school she interrupts us to loudly tell the children that they were not singing loud enough and that they needed to be louder. Okey, I figured this was supposed to be something that children do for fun. Let them be children! Not that serious & not all children are the same. Some children are a little more quiet/shy than others. That is okey ! She preceded with telling us all about HER,HERSELF,& HER. All about her credentials and her degrees with the amount of time it took her to obtain them. "Me & my staff are all very educated". So much she forgot to explain her curriculum or if she even had one. Outside they have a animals locked up. They have a big old Tuttle in a small plastic container (about the size of a shoe box) with no room to walk. The lady precedes to tell us that "she is very old". They also have a rabbit in a cage. We finally get to sit down to try and see what schedules she offered and her cost. Prior to discussing anything she hands me a form to fill out. She doesn't explain what it's for or what it is but she just says "fill it out". The form was asking for all of my daughters info such DOB and things like that. I told her I would feel more comfortable to fill out a form like that once I have made a decision on whether she was going to attend that school or not. She got INFURIATED and told us to leave because we were coming in unidentified and suspicious even though we had introduced ourselves over the phone and in person prior to walking into her house. (If this is her patience threshold with an adult ! I can only imagine with innocent children). Question is: If you felt we were suspicious from the get and you knew you had other children under your watch while we were touring... why did you let us come in ? I wouldn't let someone suspicious come in my house specially when I have so many children that are not mine under my watch. The area: homeless people smoking and talking to themselves outside in front of a large main intersection. Finally, the student teacher ratio was horrible. I asked her how many children she had on a regular day and she said anywhere from 26-36! Wow I don't know how she got her license for that many children in such a small location. I'd be crazy to leave my precious daughter in this place ! Check for yourself. CHECK THE "NOT RECOMMENDED REVIEWS" below. I don't know if there is a way for her to hide the bad reviews.

We were with them for half a year, and in that time we watched her grow in ways that felt both meaningful and grounded. She picked up new songs, new words, and simple routines like cleaning up after herself and washing her hands. She learned to wait patiently, be polite, create art, and play with friends in a way that showed us how supported she truly was. The environment was consistently clean, safe, and thoughtfully structured. She never got sick, which speaks to the level of care and attention the staff brings to their work every single day. Their policies are clear and firm, and it is evident that they exist to protect the children and keep the space running smoothly. We always had peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. We trusted the team completely and felt they treated her with the same care and consistency we would at home. We are deeply appreciative of everything Ms. Sarah and her staff poured into her during this chapter. Little Munchkins Academy has been a wonderful part of our daughter's early learning and we are thankful for the experience.

The space, inside and out, was well kept, clean, and very well organized. We never saw the place in disarray or untidy, no matter what time of day we visited. Our child was provided with age appropriate play and structured & creative activities, obvious from her growth in language and social maturity. Drop offs and pick ups were always so easy to manage. And the user-friendly app provided more than enough comfort in knowing what & how our child was doing throughout the day. Communication was easy and constant, we were never not knowing what was going on during the day, the next week, or the next month. Off all the local daycare facilities we explored before settling on Lara's, this was by far the warmest and most welcoming. Our family HIGHLY recommend Lara's for all of your daycare needs.

Absolutely Exceptional - More Than Just a School…read more Year after year, this Montessori school continues to amaze our family. It is rare to find a place that balances rigorous academic excellence with such a genuine focus on character development and respect. We have watched our youngest (now 4) blossom here over the last two years. The growth in his education level is nothing short of outstanding--he is learning concepts I wouldn't have expected at his age, yet he is doing it with joy and curiosity. But beyond the academics, what impresses me most is the school's commitment to constantly bringing in new activities and enhancing the learning environment. They never settle; they are always finding ways to be better. A few amazing days of the year for you and the family: All the Holidays - The school ensures we celebrate holidays from across all cultures and life. Fathers' Night: An amazing way to connect their children with their fathers. One of the best moments I look forward to every year. I Mother Tea Time: Another amazing experience for the children to spend some quality academic and fun time with their moms. This standard of excellence isn't limited to just one teacher; it is consistent across the board. Every staff member, at every level, cares deeply about these children. If you are looking for a place that will truly invest in your child's future, this is it. We couldn't be happier.

Her child care is beyond child care. She provides a safe, very clean and nurturing environment. Ms. Emilie cooked daily, cleaned daily, and also did laundry for nap time blankets and sheets. Every day there was a new topic and accompanying art project. They also play outside in the backyard often. My daughter learned so much academic wise being in her care. My daughter was also transformed when attending Busy Beez. When I first started, she was shy and timid, quick to meltdowns. They helped her learn to use her words, be patient, and learn to share. They also helped teach her to nap through nap time! (this was a huge struggle for me but it also carried over into the home.) I HIGHLY recommend busy beez for quality childcare. We are forever thankful that we sent our daughter there because she had such a positive experience. If you have any other questions definitely DM me! This was our first and only child, so I know how scary it can be making such a big decision. I toured many many daycares...nothing in the area compared. Knocked one star off because behavior after termination was less than professional. :)
