Nyisha and her team of teachers made learning fun, and integrated learning into hands-on activities and projects to the point that my kids will now fondly flip back through the optional workbooks they were each given and reminisce about picking oranges from the tree to make orange juice or making mud pies in the mud kitchen (I think the mud was imaginary, but am not quite sure - either way it's a fond memory for my kids). Their kindergarten teachers asked where they'd gone to preschool, and I could point directly back to the way that Nyisha and her team gently and consistently guided them towards developing critical thinking skills, skills like "how to look at the book the teacher is reading so you see the pictures before she turns the page despite being in a classroom full of other interesting and distracting children", and even how they approached toilet learning with us. I decided to transfer her from a local preschool to Supreme Kids Academy a few months ago, and in just six months, I have noticed a significant difference in her learning, penmanship, and overall development. Before enrolling her here, I did a lot of research trying to find a great school for my little one. I can truly say she is receiving the best care and education in the Bay Area! Their staff and teachers are unmatched. As a mom who works in education, I can confidently say their curriculum and materials are advanced. There are a lot of local centers and schools that do not have the right resources, structure, or teachers to successfully run a great preschool. Every staff member is so sweet, caring, and attentive to my daughter. You can tell they have a prestigious hiring process because every single staff member carries the values of the school. Not only is my daughter receiving the best care and education here, but she is also receiving the highest level of safety. As a working mom, safety is extremely important to me. They have an app where they send updates throughout my daughter's day. I am in constant communication with them and receive alerts throughout the day, which is such a relief as a parent. With everything going on in schools today, it is comforting knowing your child is safe and receiving the best care when they are not with you. Our children are the future, and investing in their care and education at a young age is so important. We love SKA! They provide breakfast, lunch and wholesome snacks included in the cost of tuition which was a huge help. They helped potty train both my boys in just a short few days and really work with families in developing a plan that works with each child. The cost of tuition is more than reasonable for the services provided. They offer additional enrichment opportunities through music, dance, karate, and gymnastics courses. I loved that my children had the opportunity to be exposed to these different programs during the course of the day as it wasn't always possible during after school hours with a full time job and other children. They offer special field trip days held at school which my children always looked forward to and still talk about (puppet shows, petting zoos, visits from dentist offices etc). Ms. Tia and Ms. Coco welcome the kids every morning and ensure a smooth drop off. It was a huge relief knowing my children were in the hands of such loving staff. My kids literally ran to them! Not to mention Ms Tia is a professional photographer so you will never have a better school picture! They communicate any concerns in a timely manner and I loved being able to check the app for picture updates throughout the day. I always felt any questions or concerns I had were also important to them and addressed promptly. I watched my children's confidence grow as they mastered a preschool curriculum. They learned how to make friendships and how to handle conflicts with the support of their teachers. I really can't say enough good things about SKA. Both of our kids really enjoy it there, have made good friends, and we feel they are becoming prepared academically for TK/kinder (knowing all letters/numbers up to 10 before entering TK). We really like that the school is integrated with the church, not because we are religious, but because it provides a greater sense of community. They do really cute Halloween, Christmas and graduation events in the church space. The school is very racially and socioeconomically diverse which we appreciate. The programming is pretty standard (by that I mean, don't expect the same child-centered, organic food only, education you might get by paying more elsewhere) but it has been a positive experience for both our kids.

Our kids were 5 and 3 at the time, and had been 100% cared for by Grandma (my mom) their entire lives while my husband and I both worked full time outside of the home. However, in early 2018, My mom got very sick, and we had to find a place to take the kids. Needless to say we were all very nervous and apprehensive about leaving our kids somewhere new. We met with Monica and got a tour of her very lovely, very clean, very welcoming home. We immediately felt the love and care that Monica has for all of "her kids". My 3 year old daughter didn't want to go home, she was so excited to stay and play even after the first time at Monica's! As a mother to three kids of her own, Monica knows what it is like to be a working parent and really strives to make all of her kids feel at home. Her house is immaculate, and every measure is taken to keep the kids healthy and clean, as well as nurtured and educated. The preschool curriculum she teaches the older kids is perfect for Kindergarten readiness. She also has really fun outdoor spaces for the kids to play - her own backyard is full of play structures, plus there is a neighborhood park and open space directly across the street from her home. We stayed with Monica until the COVID pandemic hit in March 2020. We were fortunate that my job allowed me to work from home and keep my kids at home, but if that had not been the case, I would have had no hesitation sending our kids to Monica's. I fully trust that she is taking every measure possible to keep the kids healthy and safe during these unprecedented times. Monica and Lenny became an extension of our family. We are SO glad we found Tiny Sheep. If you are considering looking for a place to send your precious children, you have found the right place.
