I have attended for over a year now and I am pleasantly taken back at how much I have grown to love…read morethe people here. The pastors have a heart for God, Bible truth and people and I have got to know so many people here who also share that same heart. I truly feel that my children and myself are now part of a larger family with God and the head. If your looking for a church/a place to get to know God, I recommend joining us at 11am in Sunday.

I've been going to this awesome Bible-inspired, family oriented church for about 5 years now & it's…read morecompletely changed my life! I honestly don't know what kind of person, or what my life would be like today If I'd never met senior pastor, Daniel Wine. This church has been so blessed to have him preaching the Loving Word of God for over 20 years now! The knowledgeable pastors along with the faithful congregation are the kindest, most God-loving people I've ever been blessed to know. It's like one big happy family! This awesome church has numerous times & ways to learn & meditate on the Word. There are multiple Bible Study classes on just about every day of the week covering a variety of topics. There are many activities and fundraisers to participate in throughout the year, including missionary work & charities. On Thursday evenings there's an exercise class in the gym where you can strengthen your muscles along with your faith! Some of the other activities include Superbowl parties, chili cook-offs, silent auctions, dinners, & an annual (Easter) presentation of the play, The Victor, which is magnificent! The Church of the Nazarene also cares for & helps the less fortunate every chance & opportunity they get. Participating in blood drives, food banks, donation of money & clothes, & not only donating money for missionary work, but also going on 2 missionary field trips a year, donating their time & hard work in underdeveloped nations & making disciples everywhere they go! I am so very blessed & I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for allowing me to be part of such an awesome church. Every time I walk through the door I feel my heart & soul fill with the love and peace of our all-powerful God, our Lord Jesus Christ!!

With all due respect, we cannot come back here due to a sermon that was taken out of the air as…read moreopposed to being studied and researched. While I don't mind if a pastor shares a personal story to drive an idea home, it is not ok to spend all of the teaching time on repeating words/phrases over and over, raising your voice to play with people's emotions and tell us that R-rated movies will surely make all "manly men" cheat on their wives. Sorry, I haven't learned anything out of this sermon, and I thought that pastors are paid to spend at least 20-30 hours weekly (one of their responsibilities) on researching the wisdom and history of biblical events and persons and pass on this knowledge to those that have other day jobs for survival. If you're not doing your day job, what exactly are you getting paid for? And on a side note, I cannot begin to tell you how tired we are of overflowing arrogance that obviously comes through the preaching (including this church). If you need to fill in time during the speaking session, please consider allowing us the choice of singing some hymns instead of hearing the praise of your own accomplishments. That would be much less frustrating.

Need God? This church houses many of the friendliest congregation members in the area. The…read morepastor, Jim Combs sets out some of the most down to earth, inspiring sermons and entertains while doing it. He's direct and funny all in the same sermon. His stories bring it down a notch so you don't have to be a self proclaimed "bible thumper" to apply the Biblical lessons to your life. **Now if you have kids 5-11 years old they must attend Conqueror's Club at least once. Where else can they get churched and have Nerf wars all at the same time? Conqueror's Club happens most Saturday nights from 6-10pm. The cost is $4 per child, and helps supply pizza and pop at the end of the night. The kids are each required to memorize a bible verse to get a stamp before the night starts. They attend children's church and move on to Nerf wars. Once the main church clears from the adult evening service, the staff members set the kids loose in fun and games with Nerf guns and unlimited Nerf bullets. Followed by pizza and pop prior to parent pick up.** This church is large so it may be hard to feel connected, but they have the service and fellowship opportunities available if you are ready to jump in. If not, don't be intimidated, just remember at one time each person attending service has been a first time visitor.
