They do ask you for a donation if you can manage it, but it's up to you how much you can afford to pay which is excellent considering how many people who need a wheelchair in town are on low income. I've also borrowed a foot pump in there before to pump the tires on my own wheelchair and they've been happy to lend it to me. They also sell all sorts of other disability aids, but I haven't ever bought anything from them so I don't really know what they're like on that score.

I have attended the Gossoms End Elderly Care Unit on a few occasions, both for physiotherapy when I…read moredislocated my elbow and also as my doctor is based there. As a unit it is well kept, with carpets and friendly staff. The treatment I have received has generally been good, although the physiotherapy was not amazing and had to supplement it with private sports physiotherapy which was much more intensive. Similarly, the advice received from the doctor is good, although I believe I used to receive better from my last GP. In general, the service is good, and it is a lovely place with short ques, so recommended if you live in the area.

Papworth's reputation speaks for itself. The services and staff are second to none. The Trust…read moreregularly gets deserved recognition for its treatment of staff as well as patients. Papworth hospital has a homely feel and is in a teeny tiny village. It is a very old hospital so everything is on one level and there are many portacabins still housing some departments. There is only one canteen so you won't find Costa coffee ruling the roost here as in many other hospitals now. It's worth visitors noting that mobile phone signal can be patchy across the site.

Located at the Stow it is relatively easy to get to even without a car as bus routes pass by. They…read moreare generally quite easy to get an appointment with at short notice. However the Doctors are indecisive and/or slow to refer people on. The building is now relatively nice and the seating is okay which is excellent because you'll often be stuck there for a very long time. The receptionists vary greatly a couple of them are really nice but others are ridiculously unhelpful. There is now a computer system that you use to check yourself in which I have seen people struggle with, it also tends to break down. But my biggest problem with the computer check in is that it can't be hygienic. All in all it is a fairly average doctors.

They are pretty pricey but do offer a loyalty card for customers. They have a small fridge and freezer, where they stock tofu, mock meat, vegan cheese, sausages, ice cream, tempeh and a few ready meals. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I once enquired about whether a body lotion was vegan and the shop assistant happily offered to phone the company to ask them. I was very impressed!

Covering both NHS and private patients they have several very capable dentists, friendly assistants and receptionists. You can buy most items you could need to keep your smile bright at the reception, from brushes and pastes to mouthwash and floss. Seating is very comfortable and unlike many they have a good broad selection of magazines that aren't 5 years old and aren't just glossy weeklies. They also have many children's books and a large TV showing videos of how procedures work for both adults and children the two dogs going to the dentist video is not only fun for kids that may be scared about their trip but is also pretty hysterical for the adults too who could fail to be amused by the sight of two jack russells driving themselves off in a little car at the end of their trip!? All in all, going to the dentist is never fun, but this place certainly makes it better.

I had a small piece of glass embedded in an upper eyelid which had resisted removal by myself for several days, but it was dealt with competently and swiftly. I had to wait for an appointment to be fitted into their schedule, but when called it was only five minutes late near the end of the day. Other peoples' mileage may differ, but I have nothing but praise for this hospital.
