Even though I cannot be there to look after my mother, I can say for, confidently, that she is being taken care of by the nurses. They are very caring, compassionate, competent, committed and excellent at communication. Even though they are so busy looking after the patients, they take out time to update me whenever I call ( which is a good few times a day) and also arrange a daily video call for me to see my mum. While on the video call, I see them taking care of my mother, as I would, and also placing their hands on my mum's forehead to comfort her as I would do. I want to thank all the nursing staff who are working day in day out to support and look after the patients. I want to mention all the names, but unfortunately, I only remember a few names and I do not know if it will be appropriate to just mention a few names that I remember. BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your hard work. You all are amazing!

I had to ask directions at the main outpatients reception desk as it was not clearly signposted, but with directions from the receptionist the area was easy to find. A very quick and efficient walk-in service for taking blood. No need for an appointment. You take a number from the ticket machine and wait in the waiting area. Apparently it is busier first thing in the morning and just before closing time. I avoided these times and was waiting for less than five minutes.

That was quite convoluted, but what I was trying to say is that both myself and my brother were born in this hospital. It's gone through many renovations since those days, but it still gives me a creepy, unusual, and chilling feeling when I see it. It's obviously a special place to me, but I don't really like hospitals, and besides, my brother nearly died here twice, once just after birth, complications from Asthma and such. You can blame my parents for that I suppose, they blame each other for it, so why not. It's a very modern hospital that is famous all over England, and perhaps all over Europe. Plus, it has to have a 5 star because I was born there. To give it less tha a 5 would just seem ungrateful. And this is the 1,981st review I've ever written, by the way.

It feels a bit odd reviewing a hospital. I visited a friend in here, so I can't really comment on…read morethe treatment, but on the experience of visiting as a whole. The car park is well signposted, but like most NHS hospitals, you pay on your way out and it costs several pounds. The hospital itself is a maze - there are signposts which seem to lead you in indirect routes, although you usually end up passing the help desk a couple of times to get more directions. It doesn't help that there are several entrances and exits on different floors. The hospital has a fairly nice atmosphere and doesn't seem too clinical. Some corridors have nice pictures on the walls, the cafe is wonderfully cheap (cheap squash, simple but cheap filled rolls) and there are book stalls and charity stands dotted around. It definitely feels like a place that is full of life.

They are in the process of a refurb at the moment so it has been a bit chaotic in the A&E…read moredepartment. The new waiting area is clean and smart although the lights are extremely bright to the point that they hurt your eyes. The staff are all generally helpful especially the staff in pediatric A&E. I would recommend the maternity section of the hospital, the midwives were lovely.

On arrival by ambulance I was immediately taken to triage and passed through the various departments with total efficiency. I say efficiency but this doesn't lose the fact that there was a lot of joking banter and friendliness with the total professionalism of all the staff. I cannot speak highly enough of all the nurses and doctors in A & E. Thank you guys for making this traumatic experience a lot easier to accept.

I was quickly allocated a bed and assured I was well away from Covid area. Seen by several nurses and doctors including a CAT scan and allowed to go home after maybe 6 hrs max. Everyone so pleasant, efficient whilst remaining friendly and approachable, explaining all procedures in advance, and appearing to be one happy high efficiency team all working as one.

I had to see a specialist here today a few months after i wrote this review. the care i received was excellent and the staff i met jolly and helpful. however the toilets in reception were still not up to standard. the disabled one and a cubicle in the ladies were out of order. Out patients 2 and the pharmacy were lovely and clean. There is even a tv in the pharmacy now to pass the time. It is a good hospital but the cleanliness in the loos worry me especially as they have had MRSA outbreaks.

I had been thinking about having breast surgery for about 2 years before I finally went for it. I…read morehad been thinking about it because I had lost and gained a lot of weight and the difference in my breast size was becoming more noticeable (especially to me, although it felt like everybody else noticed too!) It was more or less 2 breast sizes difference between the two. I found Mr Maisam Fazel online and was so impressed by the reviews on him and his website (http://www.refreshcosmeticsurgery.com) that I decided that he was the right surgeon for me, even before meeting him! When I first met him, it just reassured me That I was making the right decision. From the onset I felt comfortable and that I could ask any questions needed (although I didn't need to ask many as he was so clear throughout). I finally went for my surgery in August after deciding on 600 & 750 implants. Once that surgery was over, the healing process was as easy as it could be and I was off of painkillers after 5 days. Now that it has been 5 months since surgery, I have never been happier! My breasts are so even and so natural that anybody that didn't know I was having surgery before hasn't even noticed (as I used to cover up so much before anyway!) There is not a bad word I could say about Mr Fazel or the process I went through, pre and post surgery, I only try to thank him for everything!!!
