    Almond cookie

Ok ok I get why less ppl go here, it's no frills but the cookies are good. The street is packed with sceney places and st moritz is clearly overlooked. But prices are good and people are kind and this cookie rocked my whole day!!! Give them a try!

a box of cupcakes with frosting

St Moritz used to be one the best bakeries in Greenwich. I am assuming it has sold to new owners from the original. I ordered an assortment of cupcakes They tasted terrible -very disappointing The frosting is clearly made with shortening, not butter, and has an unpleasant after taste. This is not the St. Moritz Bakery I remember. The attendant was very rude and the cupcakes stuffed into boxes so they became unpresentable. I will not be going back. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere on the avenue.

    Chocolate mousse

Had heard great reviews of this bakery from many years ago and had to put it to the test today!! The chocolate mousse cake was said to be the best ever and I'm always up for a good chocolate mousse... The Yelp reviews I had read warned me about limited parking so when I found a parking spot I had to take it right away... Only I was a five minute walk from the bakery and there were soooo many spots much closer. So don't worry about parking. The bakery is small and cute, not much on the menu other than the baked goods so if you're looking for a coffee hit the Starbucks on your way in. The staff were nice and friendly getting ready to close for the day. Took the mousse to go so I could eat at home with a cup of tea and friends. We all shared a spoon and it was pretty good, not the best ever and I probably won't go out of my way to get it again. Don't get me wrong it was good enough to satisfy a chocolate mousse craving! Enjoy!!!

If your ever in the Greenwich area of Connecticut in the future and you have a thing for sweets you owe it to yourself to stop by the St. Moritz Pastry Shop. Located on Greenwich Ave a few steps away from the 'Thataway Cafe' (see my review). The best thing about the St. Moritz, for me and my wife anyway, are their 'Rainbow Cookies'. We travel from the Bronx, NY to Greenwich, CT to get their cookies! Unlike other bakeries and pastry shop I have frequented in the past the Rainbow Cookies at the St. Moritz are always moist and packed with flavor (I swear you can taste the fresh raspberry in the cookie!). But all the other treats at the St. Moritz are equally as delicious! The toughest thing you'll find to do when your at the St. Moritz Pastry Shop is deciding what to choose from!

hands down, best chocolate mousse cake in greenwich! the cake is moist, the icing is not too sweet and the chocolate shavings is bomb!

    Plain tasting but pretty

Absolutely love this place!…read more I've been to a lot of their locations and this is one of my favorite ones. This Maman is spacious and has plenty of seating. I love their drinks, snacks and food here. They also have an array of mugs, clothes, bags and coffee for purchase. I need to come back and get more of their merch. It's all so cute. I had an oat milk latte, piña colada overnight oats and a cookie. Everything was delicious. I've come here for breakfast and lunch too. I will definitely stop back in to try more of their food options. I'm so glad this location opened. I can't wait for their next location to open too!

I was going to give this restaurant a second positive review but had to adjust after my…read moreexperience.... We went to Maman in Greenwich for breakfast this morning. The food itself was good and the space is beautiful, but the service/setup felt confusing and a little awkward. We waited in line and were given the next available table, but once we sat down, we were told we needed to stand back up and order at the counter -- even though we had just been waiting in line. Thankfully, the waiter did agree to come over and take our order at the table, which we appreciated. I spent about $10 on a latte and $20 on the egg ratatouille, so I thought it was pretty crazy that when I asked for butter for my toast, I was then prompted to tap my card for an additional $2. The toast did not come with butter, and it felt awkward to have a payment terminal brought over for something that usually comes with toast or is offered as a basic side. Overall, the food and atmosphere were nice, but the ordering process and small service details made the experience feel less smooth and welcoming than expected.

I want to be honest, I didn't want to go to "The Kneaded Bread" because I am on a diet, but my…read morecolleague made me. I'm glad he did. The building has an old school feel.Probably because they've been around. There isn't really parking unless you find curb parking so plan accordingly. Inside the place has a traditional look. However it's covered head to toe with baked goods. They also offer salad, healthy drinks and coffee. At the counter, we were served by a wonderful woman. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive. She made things move smoothly. The owner was funny as well. I asked if everything was baked here daily, and he made a tastefully fun joke. I left the bakery with a black and white cookie, I couldn't believe it. I never tasted a freshly backed black and white. All the ingredients were fresh and it showed, I was completely blown away. Now for my next visit I have to try their bread and fresh salads. I see now in hindsight why u didn't want to go, it's simple, now I will be there everyday and ruin my diet.
