We stopped here to make a donation and were pleasantly surprised by the organized outfit this is. It is convenient, easy with drive up lanes and plenty of staff to unload your car. I persuaded my husband to look inside for a little shopping. I found a beautiful paining for our new condo ($12) and a pair of Blenco glass shell bookends ($9). We signed up for their Loyalty Program because I do plan on returning for more rare finds when we're back down here. The items were gorgeous. The epitome of thrift shopping. read more

I was appalled at the behavior, treatment and attitude my 3 grown sons were shown in their time of need during this Hurricane... Hurricane Ian. They called to see if they had shelter space for any more people and were told that they did until they arrived and saw that my sons were African American. The office was full of white people. No one showed any compassion, and they even had negative attitudes. Needless to say, my sons were denied entry during this most dangerous storm. They were actually turned away. Who does such a thing and claims to be here to help and to be spiritual. This type of treatment is disgusting and a disgrace to Christ and humanity. read more

We've called St. Matthew's twice to donate furniture and other household items as we downsize. Both times it was a great experience. They scheduled a truck to do the pickup the next day; they called that morning to let us know when the truck would arrive; they showed up with a three-man crew so they could handle anything; the crew was extremely polite, professional, and efficient; and they emailed us a receipt same day. In one case we had already called several other thrift shops and been told they couldn't take our donations, so we were particularly grateful to St. Matthew's House. I don't know much about the work St. Matthew's House does, but if you're looking to donate furniture these folks make it incredibly easy. Five stars for how easy they made it for us as we were downsizing. read more

I am so unhappy. I was donated my furniture because I was moving and it's called a donation for a reason not top of the line quality. There is a ton of people that would die to have certain furniture. You guys should be ashamed to even call yourself a donation place. Ridiculous. Never again will I ever give you guys anything.
