St. Mary's parish has a wonderful priest and clergy staff that are very supportive and helpful in making our church and Catholic school a welcoming place to worship and provide an religious and academic education for their students from Pre-K through twelfth grade!!! Their parishioners are very active in their participation with the religious education in having a wonderful Faith Formation program and being active in being lecturers and Eucharistic and homebound ministers and ushers!!! St. Mary's parish has Bible study and new orientation programs for new members that want to become part of our wonderful church and parish!!! My wife and I have been members of this St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor Texas for over fifty years now for we were married in this church over 46 years ago!!! St. Mary's Catholic Church has an absolutely beautiful church with lots of wonderful members that participate and make this congregation a parish to be proud to serve and celebrate and be part of as being a member of this parish!!! St. Mary's Catholic Church has been blessed with having a wonderful Catholic school for over 125 years that has children enrolled from Pre-K through the 12th grade!!! The Catholic school has many dedicated teachers and students that can proudly display and teach religious teachings for their students that are part of this great school!!! The school is actively involved with various activities of sports and other school activities in being involved within their community!!! St. Mary's congregation is continuous growing with new members that are truly dedicated in serving and getting involved in various ministries within the church!!! My wife and I are proud and dedicated members of this church and its congregation for we are involved with serving within a few ministries of the church!!! My family recently moved here and while we do attend church, we are not Catholic. We currently do not have a 'church home' or recognize with any one denomination, which promoted us to visit St. Mary's. The late morning mass was nice and I LOVE that the Catholic faith embraces children in church. We sat on the balcony surrounded by families with children aged from infant to high school, and we were greeted with smiles and winks when our youngest got fussy near the end of the service. We even saw many families dressed in pearl snap shirts, starched jeans and boots; which was a welcomed site for my husband! We definitely felt welcome, but very out of place. I've attended Catholic Mass several times in my home town, where they have a HUGE youth group and offer a modern, music filled mass (with a full band) for the younger generation and I was really hoping to find something similar to that here. If you're looking for a traditional and welcoming, family friendly Catholic Church, I highly recommend St. Mary's. read more
