I had a horrible experience in the parking lot of this church tonight. I was parked close to the…read moreplayground area for about 5 minutes at around 9 pm playing "Pokémon Go" when a woman who is a member of this church approached me in my car from her vehicle. She asked if I needed something to which I replied "no, I am playing Pokémon Go" and showed her my phone. Perhaps she doesn't know what the game is, but her response was "you need to leave, this is private property, leave now!" l left immediately. I was considering joining this church given I had been stopping by it often as it is close to my house but definitely will not now. I was made to feel like a criminal. Sadly this church has a couple of nice Pokémon Go "stops" and "gyms" like most other churches. I will try to notify the creators of this game to remove this church from their app as visitors are not welcome according to her. Some people may agree with this woman but at times like these I think we should try to treat each other with respect and be more welcoming to others. I know she doesn't speak for the entire church but she is now the only reflection of the church that I have and will have.

What makes this church unique is the fact that it is a branch of the Grace Community Church formerly pastored by John MacArthur in Panarama City California. It is pastored by Eric Dodson, who himself is a graduate from John MacArthur's Masters seminary. What you will find here is an accurate teaching of biblical scripture. It's about drilling down and mining the Nuggets of biblical revelation. There is a very friendly welcoming flock of believers here who are dedicated to the study of the word and not tolerant to worldly intrusions. Currently, there's well over 100 members that enjoy fellowship over lunch on Sundays and they do have some missionaries currently serving around the world. At some point in 2027 they are going to establish another church in the Pflugerville area. I was surprised Christians would go so far out of their way to complain about things they can simply choose not to participate in. Yes, seating is assigned because the main area is small and often full. While it isn't my preference, it's never been an issue. The church does a great job coordinating parking, greeting people, opening doors, and helping everyone find their seats. The kids' area requires security stickers for entry, which I really appreciate. They'll stop anyone without one, and I love that focus on safety. Most importantly, the messages always hits home. We come to hear the Word, and VCC consistently delivers. Keep up the great work!

The church is beautifully decorated and gives a serene feeling when you enter. The priests and deacons are all very dedicated and I look forward to seeing them each week. In response to the 2 star comment - I don't understand why anyone feels the need to write a negative review about a place (especially religious) that they only stopped in for a few minutes and never had any plans to return. Trust me, the church is very nice, the candle room is at the back of the main church (sorry he couldn't find it easily, but after a quick look, it's not hard), and the statues are not cartoonish. Not all churches are going to follow the blue print of the church he grew up in which is apparently what he wants. The church does look a bit blah while driving by because you're basically seeing the back of it. When you drive into the parking lot you'll see a very nice, calming setting. I am very pleased that this is my home church.

This review is for the youth pastor and the Winshape summer camp that is held here. Thing Two came…read morehere for the first time this summer and participated in the week-long faith-based day camp from June 26th to June 30th, led by Pastor L.J. MuCulloch. This camp is designed for Kinder through 5th graders (who have just graduated 5th grade) and runs from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Children who participate in this camp play games, read scripture, and parents can purchase Chick-fil-A meals for $12.00 per day for kiddos. Each day, the children learn about various bible passages that align with the theme of the camp. Each summer, the camp theme changes, and this year, it was "Road Trip" (taking a trip to discover Christ). On the last day of camp, parents are invited to camp to hear 'the word' with their children, learn about what has been happening throughout the week, and have a meal with their campers. Aside from the faith-based center of the camp, as a parent, I appreciated the communication that was sent to parents daily via email and on paper as well as the security protocols put in place to drop off and pick up campers safely and effectively. As a bonus, professional photos of campers are taken daily doing various types of activities. Parents can view these photos on a private website and download photos of their camper(s). Thing Two liked this camp so much to the point that she asked to volunteer next year at this location. The cost of this day camp is $230.00 For parents with little ones (11 years and younger) looking for a faith-based local camp, this may be the place you have been looking for. We weren't expecting much as the others were fairly small but the size of this one can be overwhelming. It was multiple stories tall and had piles of things for sale. Each room had more and more vendors. If you're looking for the crafty sort of gifts this place has everything from wood-carved crosses to jewelry to hair ties. Parking was hard despite the large lots because it was overflowing with people. For mobility impaired folks there's only one elevator which can make it hard to navigate as it's also pretty slow.
