Staff is great, billing?! Nope! First, I got a bill for over $1,000 for my surgery even though I have medical insurance. I had to call and have that corrected. Now, I come home to a letter in the mail from a debt collector stating that I owe $100+. Again! I HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE!!!! I will not be coming here ever again! I will also be sharing my experience with everyone I know that goes there! I have a clean credit history with 0 debts and now this?! Really?! Went here three weeks ago in severe pain due to a sinus infection. I had green snot and blood coming out of my nose and had been running fevers. The Nurse Practitioner refused to give me antibiotics, insisting my issue was viral. She told me to go home and use a Neti Pot and a humidifier. I did exactly that and only got worse. Went in again tonight. Another Nurse Practitioner. She wanted to know why I didn't follow up with my GP. My GP is an hour from me and I cannot drive due to the dizziness of this infection. She scolded me about this as if she were a school nurse (I am a 50-year-old woman) and resisted the idea of giving me antibiotics. This one told me to use a decongestant to dry myself up, contradicting the previous instructions to use a humidifier and a Neti pot. I explained that I have been living on OTC decongestants and antihistamines, as well as prescription pain killers, which don't help. The entire left side of my face was in severe pain, my teeth hurt as if someone was hammering nails into my jaw. The green snot and blood has only increased -- and she wants to send me home without antibiotics? I emphasized the pain I was in and she said: "I'll give them to you...this time." as if I were some drug addict looking for a fix. Are antibiotics the new recreational drug of choice? What gives? Why are these women so against giving proper treatment for what is so clearly an infection? One shouldn't have to beg for antibiotics! read more

This hospital used to be the better one to visit of the two location within 10 miles of each other, however that is no longer the case. Previously an emergency room visit would be about a 2 hour turn around, now this place will let you die waiting! The facility itself has improved but the ER care has gotten gravely worse over the years. I suppose the new technology and improvements were supposed to make for better efficiency, yea right tell that to the fella with a broken arm that's been sitting around for 4 hours. read more

I was recently hospitalized and was extremely impressed with the doctors, nurses, and staff. All were very attentive and caring and I think this hospital gets a bad rap based on the location. On-site valet parking make it very safe and easy and I wouldn't hesitate to use this hospital again in the future. In my experience the entire staff needs to take a big bow- I'm very thankful. read more

Excellent experience at St Luke's Sleep Clinic. The facility is showing its age, but our room was clean and adequate for our needs. The best part of the whole experience was our nurse - Tom. What a brilliant character! He was efficient, knowledgeable and he dismissed any anxiety or fear with humor and kindness. Thank you! read more

In the ER now. Fever they drew blood and they have to send the blood by police to newburgh because the lab is closed !!!! My husband argued with emt to bring me to orange regional and they didn't want to. So here I lay till someone calls from St. Luke's newburgh with my blood results !!! Unbelievable never again will I come here. Two hrs for results !!! read more

I know this review is a little late in coming but I feel the need to express it. I brought my father here a few years back. He was very sick (please know that he was 86, had MS, bone marrow cancer, Emphysema and prostrate cancer). He was constipated and in excruciating pain beyond belief. He was treated with Morphine for the pain (which is not really practical for the constipation). We were in the emergency room for some time. A nurse had given him a bottle of something which was supposed to aid in the constipation. It did not. I saw the look on her when she came out of the bathroom with him as though she was surprised it didn't work. We were sent home with another bottle of what was supposed to help with the constipation. The following day I called him up from work to see how he was doing. He was screaming in pain. I called the ER at Westchester Medical and told them we were in ER at St. Luke's & all they did was give him morphine. I was asked, "why would they give him morphine for constipation?" I was told to bring him in right away. My husband rushed him there and he was operated on soon thereafter. My father had gangrene in his stomach and a portion of it was removed. He should have been diagnosed better at St. Lukes Cornwall. Had they asked him about his medical history they should have looked into it further and realized that having a stomach operation could possibly have caused this (dead tissue). I think the incompetence is scary. Why did Westchester Medical discover it so quickly? Update: I see why it closed. read more

Walked in on a Tuesday morning at 7:45 am fasting for routine blood lab work. I was told from my Dr this is a walk in facility so I figured it was close I home why not. I noticed there were approx 10 people ahead of me but figured it would not be a terrible wait do to it IS a hospital and they are fully staffed. Well apparently I was WAY off. After an hour of waiting they took one person. I overheard someone working there saying they could not believe that the schedule called for only ONE employee to do EVERYTHING. It was not her fault as she was doing the best she could under the circumstances. The management level should be held responsible for this. There were older people who were fasting as myself who looked like they were going pass out. After an hour and 1 person later I had to leave, I was getting lightheaded from fasting and waiting an hr for only one person to get there blood work done 9 more to go! Who ever was in charge on that day should be held accountable. I will never return and should have continued to go to Quest Labs much nicer and organized. Unfortunately I was thinking it would be quicker since I pay such HIGH taxes and live a few blocks away in Cornwall. How wrong could I be!!!! read more
