Manitou, KY 0 friends 5 reviews 5.0 star rating4/17/2025 Columbus Girls Academy is an outstanding program for young women. The staff is compassionate, dedicated, and truly committed to the long-term growth and healing of each student. Their structured environment, faith-based approach, and emphasis on character development create a safe and supportive space for transformation. It's clear they prioritize both emotional and academic growth. Highly recommend to families seeking real change for their daughters. Mama B. Mama B. WV, WV 0 friends 1 review 5.0 star rating3/15/2022 CGA was a blessing from the very beginning. Going from a high-stress situation and needing guidance every step of the way, did not deter the staff here to jump in, get involved, and guide our family with some much needed help. After researching out several options for our daughter, we decided that CGA/TC would be the best fit. Our daughter's counselor has been a sweet blessing each step of the way, no matter how difficult. The intake staff was so much help - praying with us, answering every question, staying in constant contact through the day of intake. Every staff member that we've come in contact with has helped us through each step. Our daughter continues to show great progress, and we are looking forward to a better future with her thanks to CGA. Karl S. Karl S. Hapeville, GA 0 friends 1 review 5.0 star rating2/24/2022 Everyone is going to have an opinion, so I would preface my review by saying that each person considering the Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy should set up a tour, talk with the intake counselors, and ask the questions you have. Do not base your opinion or decision off of reviews offered here on Yelp or on Google Reviews. I toured the Academy recently and will say that I am very impressed. The director was very informative, the staff were all friendly, and the grounds were better than I expected. The girls were in class when I came in and were well behaved, respectful, and well equipped with classroom materials. Their rooms are above standard living conditions and they are provided access to a pool, gym, games, beautiful views, and campus. It is evident that the staff cares for each girl and that they strive to make it accessible to each person/family seeking help. Again, make a well-informed decision by talking to the providers, not reading reviews that may have or may not have been left by someone with knowledge of the center - or were left by someone with ulterior motives.

We were forced to eat everything we were given durring our meal time, our parents were not allowed to see us when they wanted. When we were allowed to speak to our parents via mail, call or the visits we were not allowed to speak negatively about the school, if we were caught doing so we would be put on punishment. Before bed they would do underwear checks, if we were not wearing them we would get an hour sentences, if we weren't virgins we would be shamed and get a punishment. Thats just a fraction of the things that happened and are probably still happening here -Indie
