I would recommend this university for the following reasons:…read more A) participation rate of students in extra-curricular activities is higher than any other school in Canada, and its not even a close race. It seems like everyone is in a club or sport of some kind. B) the school is serious academically, and so are most of its students. You won't be uncool if you actually want to do your homework, because it does help getting a good job. C) recruiters and hiring managers look at Queen's grads as a premium over many schools (though not always, and a big adjustment for what degree you are referring to is needed). Queen's is not number one in everything, but it is number one in many fields. I would not recommend Queen's for its location. Its in Kingston, you have to get over that if you go here. The Kingston economy is supported by a huge injection of government jobs (defense, prisons, gov't departments). This is not a diversified economy that can support job creation, though I'm sure you can find people who disagree with that. Comparable schools include University of Toronto, UWO in London, and McGill in Montreal.

Not surprisingly, most people had a very good time when they were in the US for an exchange program. My exchange program was with the School of Business at Queen's University, and I did not only have one of the best times of my life there, but also learned a tremendous amount of stuff. International Business, Managing in a multicultural Environment, Marketing, Human Resources Management are all classes well remembered.
