The curriculum flows organically from class to class--if a subject from Language Arts connects to Science, the faculty embrace it and go with it! Everyone is so open, receptive and creative and kind! Class sizes are small, so your child is given great individualized instruction, but they aren't so small where the social interaction is limited. The creativity in adventures and regular school outings across Oahu are incredible. In many ways, the island is the classroom! We just love this place and are so grateful for its faculty. staff, and visionary and compassionate leadership. Joel Staggers is a remarkable leader. If you are considering private Christian education, look no further than Trinity Christian School.

It's very rare to find school, church, family and community teaching, living, and working together as the Bible instructs. They truly exemplify what Christ and the Bible directs and wants to deliver the best and most Godly education, curriculum and upbringing. Best Classical Christian education private school in our book! We rate them more than five stars and they are perfectly located in Kailua, a wonderful, safe, family-friendly town. Didn't even know a school like this still exists.

The campus is beautiful, the faculty and staff are warm and happy to be there, and the students are overwhelmingly kind. Students study a language from K-12 as part of the curriculum and are immersed in hands-on, experiential learning for throughout the day. Le Jardin is an International Baccalaureate World School that offers not only the IB Diploma Program but also the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Middle Years Programme for its primary and middle schools. We moved our children here from Mid-Pacific Institute (one of the WORST private schools on the island) and the difference is night and day (they even have 18 more in-school days in a school year!)

The views are incredible. The staff are great. Helpful and interested in the children's best interest ( as it should be ) and are always available to engage with the parents on their children's education. Although expensive, it's well below Punahou, 'Iolani, and Mid Pac. They do offer financial aid options, yet make sure you apply early because it can take some time to get through the process. Le Jardin does offer athletics as well as a quality education. As a matter of fact, the girl's just won the ILH water polo championship, and the boy's won last year. Le Jardin competes in Water Polo, paddling, swimming, volleyball, basketball, tennis, kayaking and golf. They also compete in the PAC-5 in football, softball, wrestling, baseball and cross country. The gym is fantastic, a tad bit cramped, but very nice indeed. I'm proud to say that my girls will be attending Le Jardin the fall of 2013

With very few principals over the years KES has been under some great leadership and care. It has shown with the amazing students that come through as well as the teachers who are so passionate about their students, school, and teaching. The students have the best of what is available to them and the administration makes sure they are plugged in where ever necessary. KES is a big campus but small group with about 250-300 students in all and a total 'ohana environment. They really care for the children like their own and know how to make visiting families feel like they've been there forever. The teachers set goals for themselves and for the students with the principal and make sure they are on track with meeting them throughout the year. Their focus is definitely on developing the whole child. From academics to social (with friends or in clubs) and beyond the children are able to get a well rounded education, positive influences, and make lifelong memories! Once a Honu always a Honu.

The gym is small and could use some repairs. The Special Olympics held their Zumba fundraiser in the gym which I must say was a good workout. My grand-niece had enjoyed herself as she danced to the music, not following any of the zumba instructors moves. It was great to see her happy and dancing. Though shes mentally challenged, shes able to move to the beat of the music. I love watching her having fun. Walked around the campus and noticed how small the cafeteria is. On the real, it is a public school SO the campus isn't exactly Kamehameha School status, and we unfortunately don't have a pond or anything on our campus. (We do have a farm though for the Agriculture class!). We also have one of the best performing arts for public schools. Castle has the nice Ron Bright Auditorium. It holds Castle plays AND Castle Dance Concerts. Parking is a bit tight near the auditorium. If you can, I would recommend someone drop you off if you're going to see a play or a dance concert. Castle is located near residential areas, so you could park your car there and walk a bit to the auditorium. When there are football games, the back parking lot can get full. But again, there are places to park in the residential area. I wouldn't advise parking at Windward City because you could get towed.
