I was thoroughly impressed and great value for a day of fun for my son. We got the fun pass for unlimited bouncer play and 15 scrips for $25. Next year we will buy the presale for $20. The scrips are normally $1 per scrip. The schools fried noodles was awesome, that included geeen onions, kamaboko, bean sprouts, carrots, spam, and Portuguese sausage. My son and his cousins ran from bouncer to bouncer, to games, to all over the fields with their prizes. We'll definitely be back next year.

I was VERY impressed that I got invited to a "STAFF" meeting and wow!! The WHOLE KK staff from all over was present. I was VERY honored to be included in these "workshops". All my working career was the boss' or teachers attended these types of meetings. Hoping they "shared" What they learned and pass onto the school staff... if everything was shared! This was a great ice breaker to meet others from schools. It was that "ah-ha" moment to put the names and faces together. Like most preschools, they have crafts and activities every day, and plenty of time for outdoor play. They celebrate diverse cultural holidays, include hearing/vision screenings, developmental assessments, school pictures, spirit weeks, etc. A big plus is they will potty train. My daughter talks about her teachers and how she loves them. She was only there for a year, but during that time no turnover among her four teachers. She grew and developed so much! They are strict but reasonable with COVID protocols. Tuition is about average. I only occasionally have trouble with parking at drop off. The school is up the street from Castle so there can be a lot of traffic in the area from 7:30-8am.

With very few principals over the years KES has been under some great leadership and care. It has shown with the amazing students that come through as well as the teachers who are so passionate about their students, school, and teaching. The students have the best of what is available to them and the administration makes sure they are plugged in where ever necessary. KES is a big campus but small group with about 250-300 students in all and a total 'ohana environment. They really care for the children like their own and know how to make visiting families feel like they've been there forever. The teachers set goals for themselves and for the students with the principal and make sure they are on track with meeting them throughout the year. Their focus is definitely on developing the whole child. From academics to social (with friends or in clubs) and beyond the children are able to get a well rounded education, positive influences, and make lifelong memories! Once a Honu always a Honu.

BINGO Fundraiser in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. My friend's daughter's volleyball team held their fundraiser at the cafeteria of this local public elementary school. Parking was free. I'm glad that we arrived early and parked close to the entrance of the cafeteria (where the ground was level) before 4pm. After 8pm, when our session ended, the parking lot towards the back of the building had no lighting, the road was uphill, and was spooky in general. The "Girls" restroom had just one stall... and no seat covers for the toilet. At least there was soap and paper towels! Inside the spacious, well-lit, clean room, there were ceiling fans, short, round tables with stools attached to them, long tables for vendors to sell crafts and snacks, more tables for prizes and reception area, and good lighting. There was a nice cross-breeze, so no air-conditioning was needed, and the doors were left open. Overall, this was a great venue for a function like this! There was a screen for a projection and an excellent sound system. Maybe one of the parents brought their own equipment?

The school disciplines with aloha and lays no ground rules. Bullying is a major problem. Kids are constantly being harassed and threatened and nothing happens to the bullies. Fights happen and the involved do not get suspended or even have recess taken away. All merit and award assemblies were removed and never brought back. The good kids have nothing to work for. The teachers at the counselors at this school are phenomenal and excellent. Wonderful educators. The main problem is the principal and the lack of discipline at the school.

Small classroom n attention is really the key. Also, they take what they learn in the classroom & in the second half of their day do "outdoor" or "hands on" activities to show how it applies to LIFE. They also do Huakai(field trips) like every week! Compared to My daughter who is in public school in kailua went on TWO field trips during her whole school year, lol. MHPCS takes keiki to regularly work in kalo, beach clean ups,horticulture, and farms. PARENTS will also have to volunteer a couple of hours during the year. Sometimes on the weekend. -They offer free/reduced lunch. -Nut Free school -Do not send child with unhealthy snacks, kumu will send it home.lol -offer A+ -if ur a family in dire need, don't be afraid to ask for help with school supply's etc. Sometimes it happens with big family's -just ask. If can can. -be prepared to volunteer. Bc u will. -morning starts with piko,so get there by 730am -THEY HAVE AIR CONDITION!!!! Woohoo! Reviewing a craft fair seems more like it belongs in a community activities brochure - it's an event that takes place on campus but it's not really a school program for students or teachers. Kinda the same opinion re whether reviewing a carnival on campus is helpful. Also, note that some reviews refer to classes offered by the Adult Education Program on campus - after hours for a fee. Yes these are classes held on the KHS campus but it's misleading to suggest that classes like Thai Cooking are a curriculum choice for students. Mahalo to those who noted the dedicated teachers. Yes the school buildings are old and bathrooms can be pretty bad. The school isn't given funds for landscaping, full time gardeners, or upscale interior designers. There are custodians whose daily tasks are basic maintenance. Getting necessary repairs can be a bureaucratic nightmare BUT maintaining a safe and functional appearance is the responsibility of the occupants, the students and teachers.

Kaimuki High School is home to one of the largest craft fair and oh I've never got the chance to check them out as I'm always working and since I'm on the tail end of my vacation time...my boss gave the the few extra days which I'm just so grateful as it got me a chance to give this place a visit. Pretty much overtaking majority of the school as you can find vendors down each hall though all are outdoor setting the slight shade does help as it still gets crazy hot in the afternoon. Very impressed of the variety they have here the parking does get challenging if you don't go early enough though since we went on the last few hours I did manage to get a parking as the early birds left. Me and my bestie hit the ground and tried to check off our gift list we manage to find items for ourselves as well loving all the fun and cute items they have. As we got hungry there was a few food trucks which is a nice convenience as well but what a wonderful place to get a lot of your shopping done and hope that I can do this again as it was a fun experience.
