Read BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO THIS PLACE! Use to live in the area...At first appearance I thought…read morethis was a good place to go. I made appointment and went in for cleaning and one tooth that was bothering me, due to poor work by a previous Munster dentist. Before I could see the dentist I had to go through 2 appointments with this lady that calls herself a hygienist, but in reality was just trying to see how much money they could make on you to pay for the new office with her list of evaluations. Before I ever got to the real problem this lady outlined to me what they needed to do at a cost of nearly $18,000. including 3 extractions (2 were wisdom teeth that were fine, but she stated they are way back there and hard to clean) REALLY...that is your problem...more things she outlined were, bone graft, skin graft, re enamel my teeth, 2 implants, and on and on and a few other incidental items. I made appointment to begin getting the problem taken care of and was surprised when my first visit, NOT what I expected, but only an extraction...now 3 weeks later just to get it pulled... They were set up to do 3 extractions including the perfectly good wisdom teeth to add to the charges when I said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I came in for this problem tooth that I had already spent about $2000 on with the Munster dentist that all started with him removing the filing without telling me until after while doing the tooth next to it saying it was "old" . This lead to a root canal a year later and a second root canal 6 months later and finally a visit to an endodontist that performed a 3rd root canal on this tooth only to find a root had been missed by the first dentist 2 attempts. I digress. Back to my visit at this office. After extraction made appointment in 2 weeks to return, thinking I am getting a bone graph as I was told by hygienist I had bone deteriation and they could not do an implant. Upon arrival I have panoramic x-ray, another BIG cost...and impressions done more money . Next visit 2 weeks later finally a bone graph $800 and now I must wait several months for graph to heal. Why not do this bone graph 3 months ago and we could be done faster. Finally the day comes for the implant. I actually told him I wanted to have both implants done at same time .....but was told it was to late and there was no bone on other side any longer. The dentist spends so much time 20-30 minutes setting up the guides to do the implant and he finally begins, when he abruptly stops and said the bone shattered and I can't do it. BUT we can do a bridge he says! Wait, I spent money for bone graph and time and now you can't do it. We are a good 8 month since first visit and $2-3 thousand spent. A family emergency came up out of town and I had to go so I had to put a hold on things. I spoke with another dentist during that time and never went back to McCarroll. End of story 4 months ago I had 3 implants done by a different dentist. (a Harvard Graduate) All in about 30 minutes in his office. (simple procedure and no pain) No bone graph, no skin graph, and no addons. The crowns were placed on the implants couple days ago and they look great. He remarked you had good bone to place the implants in. Hummmm I guess the bone graph, skin graph, panoramic x-rays and other work needed were just another car payment for the first dentist. All 3 were done for less than half the cost of McCarroll's office for 1 and I had top of line titanium posts and full procelain crowns not metal covered ones. Look around before you commit. Would not recommend this office to anyone.

No shout out across the room to let someone know they are "next." (It was my first time at IDS). Their advanced preparation was obvious. A welcome screen with my name awaited with a pic of the smiling staff. VIP treatment and yet very personable - what a difference! I did not have to even pay $100 just to make the appointment. A plan was offered that was in my best interest instead of the dentist. I was the focal point, not someone who was being processed. The friendly professional banter among the staff and the cordiality was inviting. I was at home! The trust factor was through the roof! The care was thoroughly attentive and I actually cannot wait to go back! They will not ever need to send me a reminder. Thank you IDS!

ZERO STARS! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. In my opinion, they deserve zero stars. My experience…read morewith this office felt far more focused on billing than on patient care. I went to Ivory only because my previous dentist retired. For years I had routine six-month cleanings and was never told I needed a deep cleaning. But at my very first appointment here--scheduled for a regular cleaning--I was suddenly told I needed a deep cleaning instead. When I questioned it and asked for the routine cleaning I came in for, they refused to do it. I was told they couldn't perform a regular cleaning and that the deep cleaning was required. They reassured me repeatedly that they would work with my insurance and that it would be covered 100% because they "make sure patients don't have to pay out of pocket." After a long, frustrating discussion, I reluctantly agreed and had to schedule a separate appointment for the procedure. Then they told me I needed an 8-week checkup to see if my gums had healed and that after that I could have a normal cleaning. I went to that appointment, but when I checked out, I was suddenly told I had a 20% copay--something I had never been charged before. When I questioned it, I was casually told, "Oh, this was a peri-cleaning, not a routine cleaning." I paid it, even though I was frustrated. That was in October. Today I received a text mentioning a statement and a payment due. When I called, I was told my insurance had decided not to pay for that service at all, and that the office was "surprised." At this point, I cancelled all future appointments. Based on my experience, I would never return and will be sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions. I will be sure to let everyone I know about how this "dental" money hungry place and to stay away.

Their staff is extremely friendly and nice and accommodating. I especially like the front desk lady with the brown hair and glasses. She is phenomenal. She is on top of it! I'm only rating 4 stars because when I went in to get my filling at first, I had the Doctor Who had a busted blood vessel in his left eye. He seemed to be under stress. When he did my tooth it looked like SpongeBob. It went by quickly he seemed to be in a rush to get me out of there. Being an advocate of my health, I did request for him to shorten it some more because my tooth was clearly wider and larger than the left tooth. He did just that. And asked me to bite down, I bit but my bite felt different. He said that my bite should adjust. So I went along that weekend and I tried to eat later that day, and it was very hard for me to eat. I tried to speak and say certain words, but my mouth couldn't form it. This is just from two teeth getting done. It was uncomfortable. I called them and complained because there was too much composite on my teeth and I couldn't function properly. So I went back in the following week and Dr. Hannah took care of me. They shaved down my teeth some more so that my mouth could close properly. It worked! I have been extremely pleased since then. I am happy they were able to see me again and fix everything. All in all if the doctors are under stress, they shouldn't be at work and they should never try to rush people out of there. I appreciate the doctors that I've had there that take their time and accommodate me patiently.
