And next year will mark the second year in a row for the little one. Incidentally my daughters class, which had 20 kids in it, had ALL 20 kids re-up for the 4 year old class starting in September.

She's still doing continuing education to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. He brought his skates, I went to the rental bar and was stoked to see that they have ice cleats for scaredy cats like me! That was MUCH better than skating.....too many people and skillsets plus people flailing around losing their center of gravity, no thank you. It was great, I could walk on the ice, go around people and had a fabulous time! Around the holidays they have a live band from 6 to 9pm and a little snack bar if you want to grab a warm drink, lockers too to store your goodies! Awesome, cheap entertainment!

I later went back to John Oliver in my adult years to get some further education and get some skills in my adult years that I was lacking in the work force. Once again the instructors/teachers were good. As for the school itself...I didn't really socialize since it wasn't part of the school year, therefore, didn't go through all the Degrassi pains of school, however, in the hallow hallways you can still sense the ghosts of adolescent fear still lingering. This is not a school where they 'train' kids to be super smart from early age- They believe children thrive and learn best when their interests are captured.- so kids have fun doing something they love, learn to share, do lots of activities together, celebrate both Japanese and western traditions- Teachers & staff are so nice and helpful. The school has a big gym and outside area to play, Do only japanese kids go there? not at all! more than half of his classmates are either non-Japanese or half Japanese-. So whenever they send out newsletters or have Christmas party or other parties, they conduct in both Japanese and English, super helpful! I love when they have charity parties- kids (and teachers & volunteers) make cute stuff and sell them like your kid's picture in christmas frame or bubble bath bombs etc.. Another cool event is that twice a year, they have Bazaar and their foods are amazing. All handmade and cooked by kitchen stuff and volunteers but they make amazing Japanese foods that I couldn't believe when I went there for the first time- ( and it's open to public too!) I was expecting some sushis, teriyaki chicken, udons.. those typical japanese stuff, and of course they have those, but on top of them they have Matsutake rice ! ( for fall ) Kyoto style wrapped sushi, amazing variety of Mochi-es, handroll sushi, etc. etc.. you just have to go there to believe it!

Worst school experience, on our first day, my 19month child was playing with some musical…read moreinstruments and one the the teacher was afraid that my child will break it, so she grabbed the tambourine out of her hand and put it behind her......The teacher was playing a plastic box as a drum, and she's not worried if it will break since it's already half broken? My child is only 19 month and she took the chance to let her discover and learn, without teaching her with patience. After circle time that teacher stood up walking with out care and bumped into my child and kicked her into a very sharp table corner, dented her forehead and my child started bleeding. The whole classroom wasn't protected, but right after this happened they started to put up all the protection for sharp corners......I was very upset and disappointed. The principal also called me after, but her phone call made me felt worse, and she said she was going to check back with me and I never received another phone call from her! My child has a scar on her forehead and the dent is still there after more than a month. I have taken my child to many daycare and community center, and we are still waiting to be called on a few wait list, since this school has opening, I thought I could take her there for the time being, but This is the worst school we have been to, and I suggest moms that wants to apply think twice, because they are very unprofessional. If this system could let me choose no star, I wouldn't have given one！
