Ballard Designs- West Palm Beach

Ballard Designs- West Palm Beach

(4 reviews)

This is the review I posted on trusted pilot, thought I would share here. Given that the overall…read morerating for Ballard designs on the site is a 1.6 given my customer experience, I'm not surprised. I've been longtime customer and am extremely surprised. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like the company needs any advice since the rating is so incredibly low. I'll see if this gives me a better outcome?!? I used to work for a big name consulting firm doing operational reviews of companies. This one has a lot of symptoms and cracks that should be looked at. Here's my experience. I ordered a rug from the store in West Palm Beach. The sales rep there told me I could check my rug delivery on the Internet. I never received an email informing me of a tracking number so after several weeks, I called the store, was given one and told that the ship date was February 26 having been to the store in January. February 29, I checked the website and all it said about the order was that it was in process. So I called. The first thing the automated system told me was that I did not match my phone number but yet the correct phone number is in their system. So I spoke to a customer service rep and they told me the order was canceled. The reason being is that my credit card did not go through. I had the previous week had some fraud on my card and it was cancelled. Despite that happening, I received no email or phone call notifying me or to rectify the situation. When I spoke to the supervisor, he said invariably the email was in my junk or spam folder, and I told him that that was not the case. I receive tons of marking emails but yet not one on the status of my order at any time. The customer service rep said items now are on back order. however, the supervisor said they had a few in stock. I was put in the queue. I inquired as to how I could be put first in line in the queue given the situation and non communication. No can-do. This company needs to look at their operations and see where the cracks are and correct them. Very very disappointed.

I have been looking everywhere for good quality bathroom rugs with no success. I saw these guys…read moreonline and drove over there to see if they could help me. It took them less than two minutes to come up with exactly what I was looking for. The fact that they were warm, friendly, and enjoyable to speak with didn't hurt either.

HIVE Home, Gift & Garden

HIVE Home, Gift & Garden

A curated experience that truly delights--but bring your wallet!…read moreWalking into Hive Home, Gift & Garden feels less like entering a store and more like stepping into the pages of a high-end design magazine. Everything--from the artfully arranged furniture to the perfectly styled decor--has been curated with such care and elegance, it's hard not to be inspired. Hive isn't just one store, it's a collective of beautifully designed spaces including Hive for Her, Him & Kids, and the deliciously tempting Hive Bakery & Café (which is right next door!). Whether you're shopping for luxurious home furnishings, chic apparel, or just enjoying a pastry and coffee, the entire experience feels elevated and intentional. The story behind Hive is just as impressive as the space itself. Founded by interior designer Sara McCann in 2013, the brand has grown into a cornerstone of the Norton Dining and Design District in West Palm Beach. It's more than just a store--it's a celebration of Palm Beach style, creativity, and community. That said, elegance comes at a price. While I absolutely loved browsing (and maybe daydreaming a little), the price points were definitely a stretch for my everyday budget. Still, it's a wonderful place to get inspired and maybe treat yourself to something special. If you're in the area, even just walking through is a treat--and don't skip the café next door for a sweet bite afterward!

Finders Keepers - Inside

Finders Keepers

This is more estate sale stuff of furniture decor and more than a discount thrift store…read more... They describe themselves as "upscale". Everything in this small store is marked and neatly displayed. There's room between most of the items. Price wise it's not bad with some items reasonable and others on the side of a higher priced goodwill -- but better quality. All items seem clean and in good shape. We didn't find anything we liked well enough to buy today, but that's not saying you won't.

Finders Keepers sells a little of everything. My first impression walking in is that they are a…read moresmall store but what they have is very nice and priced to sell. According to their Facebook page they have been in business since 2013. They are estate buyers so their merchandise is always changing depending on what they are purchasing . I have tried estate sales before but it feels like trespassing, going through someone's house that you know just died and picking through their stuff as their photos stare at you from the walls. Of course not everyone has died. Some people just want to sell a household of stuff in bulk before a move. In any case I'd much rather purchase estate items which are usually of a nicer quality than thrift, at a clean store like this. Also you are not having to drive around to multiple addresses. Everything I saw was in great condition. They had furniture, collectibles, mattresses, house hold goods, and even some clothes. If it makes up items in someone's household, they sell it. A wooden T.V.console was only $25. They had some nice knick knack shelves and I am currently studying my walls to see if they will accommodate them.I wanted to know if prices were firm or negotiable but the man who was working was chatting to someone else and I didn't want to interrupt. Although they didn't have a huge amount of items, what they do have warrants a look if you are in the area.
