I initially made an appointment for my wife to set up an annual physical, which is covered by our insurance. During this appointment the doctor asked her if she had any questions or other concerns. She mentioned a couple of things she was curious about but they were small and were not the reason she came at all, and she wouldn't have even asked them had she known that she would be billed because it was a now a "sick visit" instead of the "annual physical visit". Poor communication by their staff. Had she known that asking a question at the end of the appointment would cause it to become another type of visit we would be charged for, she would not have asked.

The questions asked had nothing to do with her treatment or assessment , the questions were for personal curiosity of her own. Needless to say this clinic needs a course on patient courtesy and proper bedside manner specially on sensitive cases. Lastly, the provider enter the room with no mask and was annoyed when asked to wear one during the consult. Though there is a divide on mask usage during this pandemic it is unsanitary/unsafe to not wear one in a medical setting with so much foot traffic and patient to patient interaction. These are people coming out of surgery and that may have underlined health conditions and are overall venerable to all infections during their recovery.

People who are sick do not want to hear all of that noise and cackling. The staff should be mindful about what they are commenting about patients since everything they say can be heard. Also, in my opinion, the provider should come in discuss any findings, not send the nurse in who only hands you discharge papers.
