We were staying nearby and sad that we weren't staying there. Our group had the crab cake, king prawns, and smoked salmon starters. For entrees we had the steak, bolognese, venison, burger and steak pie. Then several had the brownie and sticky toffee pudding. I have to say that we'd been having sticky toffee pudding everywhere we've been and this was, by far, the best we've had. I didn't get pictures of the desserts because they were eaten so quickly. My husband and I are a couple of foodies and I must say we weren't disappointed. With a chance to persuse the menu and order while having a drink, it was a great chance to get our tastebuds into gear. We were escorted into the restaurant and seated and our starters came right away it was wonderful. I can talk about the food forever. It is wonderful, the choices great and I got the feeling that a great chef was at work behind the scenes. The meat was moist and wonderful, the sauces out of this world, and at last veg that had a wee bite but wasn't brick hard which seems to be endemic now. We were dressed up for dinner and the food reflected that. It was an indulgent, sexy wonderful experience. Would I go back? How do you think I arrived at this page?
