Disappointing customer service and a complete lack of basic sales training. While selecting my dozen donuts, I picked a few that apparently weren't included in the standard box. Instead of offering an upcharge or asking if I wanted to purchase them separately--which I gladly would have paid for--the cashier just shut it down, costing the shop an easy upsell. To make matters worse, after I paid and left a 15% tip, she handed me the bulky donut box, a bag of kolaches, and two drinks completely loose. When I politely asked for a bag for the drinks so I could actually carry my order to the car, she just handed me an empty bag and walked away. I had to bag my own items, defeating the purpose of tipping. Do you not train your employees on basic sales or how to package items for paying customers? read more

My favorite doughnut shop in San Antonio. Their apple fritters are crispy on the outside, tender with chunks of apples on the inside. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. After having one here, you would be hard pressed to ever go to the big chains. Prices here are better, quality better, and tastes better. The kolaches and sandwiches are displayed and microwaved when you get them warmed up, so I don't know that they are "fresh". Not bad as far as taste goes. It's called ST donuts, but they also have kolaches, croissant sandwiches, teas and coffee. We discovered this place when looking for a spot to have our book club meeting. It was a great place for it. They have inside seating and it's not loud in there. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered two donuts and a taro iced latte. The donuts were fresh. My favorite was the blueberry cake donut. The kolaches smelled heavenly. Next time I'm getting one for sure. I will say that the taro latte was too sweet for me. Stopped by around a 11am ish on a weekday. Picked up a few doughnuts-lemon and blueberry filled, a twist, and a sausage only kolache. I really enjoyed ST donuts. Their logo has a donut in front of the "ST" so if you're looking for OST donuts... this is still the right spot. Ordered the mini kolaches. They used lil smokies and were super cute and delicious. We also got iced blueberry and strawberry along with donut holes and a glazed donut. The glazed was pillowy with a slight crunch to the glaze so their base checked out. The iced was really something special though. You can see bits of the fruit mashed into the icing so it's made fresh on site. They were delicious and a site to behold. My daughter did observe that there was no cheese on the mini kolaches so be sure to get the large ones of cheese is important.
