Hills and old…read moretrees Evergreen Cemetery is a cemetery built on a hill. Quite a steep hill in fact with lots of smaller rolling hills. The whole graveyard is filled with great old trees that gives the cemetery a very park like feel. Most of the memorials are rather modest but some are unique and beautiful. None seem especially old and many that I saw were from the 19th and 20th centuries. They don't seem to plow the roads in the winter so it's quite a hike up the hill in the deep snow but it does have some nice views from the top. One of the old cemeteries that was original placed so the entire town would grow around it. The graveyard has some very old graves indeed, including the remains of 46 Revolutionary veterans. Many of the graves go back to the 18th and early 19th centuries but surprisingly the cemetery is still taking new orders today. A historic and very cool old graveyard that is surrounded by a lovely old stone wall and lots of flowers in the warm weather. But like many old graveyards it can be a difficult place to walk in the heavy snow. A fascinating place all year long.

They have been told over and over not to block this emergency road and they ignored it along with several signs. Their ignorance caused several people time and money. To top it, they did not even have the decency to come over to me or any of the other vehicles waiting to let us know how long it would be or to say sorry they messed up. The owner was rude and condescending to me when I had to walk over through mud to him. I would not use this pompous fool for any of my family members. He is obviously not a rule follower which would put up many other RED FLAGS about his integrity in other matters regarding our beloved. Thank God there was no emergency and emergency vehicles didn't need to get to the home or business he was blocking. Lastly when service ended he purposely tried to block me in waving other cars through. Complete jerk.

Each time we have used them they have treated us like they had lost a family member of their own. They make your loved one look beautiful. Like they might just be sleeping, and you can tell they take care and pride in their services. Hopefully I won't need their service in the near future, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to call them.
