Jeff is not only an amazing funeral director, he is a kind, compassionate, thoughtful, wonderful human being. Even though we'd arranged for pre-planned services many years ago, Jeff treated us as if we were writing a check today! My father-in-law passed away at 6:00 in the morning in a nursing home. I received a call from Jeff at 7:30am telling me he's picked up dad, and he was safe in the funeral home. He arranged for a time that was convenient for us to come in much later that day to make Dad's final arrangements. I swear he works about 20 hours a day! While dad had done the original planning years ago, Jeff still helped us put together a service which was perfect for our family, and did everything we asked to honor the great man our father was. All the details were handled beautifully, and we didn't need to worry about a thing. Dad was very ill at the end of his life and had lost a significant amount of weight, so we were worried about how he would look for the calling hours. No worry needed. Jeff prepared our dad for burial expertly, and made him look like he was younger and healthier again. In fact, it was so comforting for us to say it looked like he was just taking a nap. Dad was a veteran, so Jeff arranged for a service with full military honors, which was so important to Dad, and meant so much to us. I cannot more highly recommend Jeff and Hays Funeral Home. The genuine care and concern he showed for all of us and his expertise in his craft created a beautiful memory for us rather than just a sad day of loss. A very old…read moregraveyard The Brookfield Cemetery was official established in 1714 but since it has always been the only cemetery in the town it probably was used as a graveyard long before that. The 43 acre cemetery has about ten thousand graves and many of them are veterans that have fought in the various wars since the early eighteenth century. Since the King Philip Wars of 1675 hit the area hard it's very possible some of the worn and unmarked graves are causalities of that conflict. It is a lovely old graveyard with lots of stone walls and an impressively spooky gate that was added in 1873. Not a lot of imposing and ponderous memorials, many here are simple but still interesting and unique. A wonderful old cemetery and a great part of the history of the area. This parcel of land has been serving the town in it's own morbid but important way for a long, long time.

They met my Dad and Brother early on a Sunday morning, and really helped us with every detail imaginable when planning services for our Mother. It's overwhelming to say the least, but they have it broken down for you, like a check list of what to do first, what to do next, etc. I won't get into specifics, but you can't know how much really needs to get done in such a short amount of time until you're planning a wake and funeral. It's like you shift into 'auto pilot' and just do it. It's somewhat of a blur... It's a beautiful facility as well. They helped us tremendously during this very, very difficult time, and I can't thank them enough. I recommend them highly, although I hope you as a reader of this post never have to make a call to them.

Due to the hurricane in FL (where our loved one was living), everything had to be delayed while power was being restored to the area.It took 10 days for our brother's remains to be transferred to Ginley-Crowley. During the waiting time, the funeral home staff guided us through the preparations for his services. Bob Irving was our anchor through it all.We are a large family and he patiently dealt with all sorts of personalities.Our questions and requests were many and often, yet he displayed only kindness (even though we are sure he was exasperated at times it was never exhibited). Everything was seamless due to Bob's meticulous attention to details. We thank all the staff ,at Ginley-Crowely, Medway Funeral Home ,for or all you did to help us through this sad,difficult time.
