    This place is ok aside from the nurse practitioner. You're better off going to Hutto if she's the only doctor on duty.

    The worst experience i've ever had! Do NOT recommend unless you want to be treated rudely by the front desk and NP while you are in pain.

    A family member that I care for has been going to LSCC at Taylor for around 2 years. He has always…read moregone in every 6 months to get blood work and a BP check for refills on his thyroid meds, but more importantly his blood pressure meds. Last visit, end of July. Come November, it was time to call in a refill to the pharmacy. One of his BP meds were denied, but all of the rest were filled. He called LSCC at Taylor and was told he'd have to come in for a 3 month check. He couldn't do it. It had not been planned for and his copay was $50 for the office visit. The charge nurse got on the phone. He asked for a few BP pills to get him through until he could get in. No. Not without an appointment. Then she proceeded to lecture him that he had done this to himself. His poor lifestyle had put him in this position and now he'd just have to deal with the consequences. And yes.. I overheard this conversation, so I know what was said. All I can say is.. WHAT THE HECK?? Since when does a nurse have any authority to scold a patient about his lifestyle (that she has no clue of) when he needs BP medicine to avoid having a stroke? Well, he ended up going without that medication for a week until he could get into a doctor. His BP stayed at a steady 165/110. Finally, he was able to get in and be seen (at another doctor). This doctor was furious. He had to be given a pill immediately, in the office, to try to bring the pressure down quickly. Medication needed to be adjusted, a new one added, and we are really lucky that something terrible didn't result, like a stroke. The doctor stated that he'd been fighting with some nurses over the very same thing, and he'd had a few patients who were diabetics that ended up in the hospital because the nurse wouldn't authorize an insulin refill. This was right from the mouth of the doctor! So, when you are considering LSCC in Taylor.. you might want to rethink. I know people have circumstances where they cannot afford to go just anywhere, but when you're paying a $50 copay anyway.. it seems a bit like they are just trying to get some cash out of you. Change the rules without notice.. let people run out of meds, and risk their heath. And a charge nurse who has a God complex. It is one thing to refuse a refill for a narcotic, or something addictive, it's another to change the rules up and not give someone medication that they need to live. You should be ashamed.

    There appointment system takes an inordinate amount of time as you have to go through a 1-877 # to…read moreget through, then a series of automated questions which takes approx. 5 min, then you hold only to be told they are busy but will phone you back if wish. Maybe they should lead with that. My reason for calling was verify an appointment made over 3 weeks ago. The intake person said they would be emailing me some forms to complete and appointment verification but that NEVER happened and my appointment was coming up. It shouldn't be this difficult. I think this organization needs to reorganize and do something different. Customer service is not their strong suit.
