Don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews on here…read more I brought in a gold necklace that had separated for a repair. When speaking with the two women at the desk they seemed very knowledgeable of the build of my necklace as well as other pieces. They were able to provide me a very fair price for the repair, and everything went very smoothly. They are very professional in that images are taken of all pieces brought in, all pieces are properly measured and included in a copy to your account which you have access to. I also asked about possibly repairing and altering a ring I had, changing the stone and a few other things. They were able to provide me a good quote and kept in contact while seeking new stones and pieces for their shop. All in all very happy with the service here. The location is small but very clean and nicely set up. I have already suggested this location to friends and family, all of which were very satisfied with the service and product. I waited about 6 months to post this review and the repair has stayed strong through all of it.

We walked in a few weeks ago and spoke with Greg and he and his colleague (I'm sorry I did not get her name) both went above and beyond to assist while we looked for a wedding band to go with the wedding ring we had picked. We found one we liked but needed it in gold so we left, but Greg followed up as promised leaving a voicemail letting me know he tried to find the ring in gold but was unable to. I appreciated the follow up. A few days later he texted that they had some new options come in we might like and again I really appreciated the follow up without ever being remotely pushy. We walked in a few days later and although Greg wasn't working it was more than fine because Karen gave us a warm welcome, got us taken care of, asked us if we were planning on soldering the rings together or not which we hadn't even thought of and so appreciated the suggestion, and then left with the new wedding band. I was intent on either getting a ring from them or an antique store and I am so happy with the outcome. Thank you Greg and Karen!!

I recently went to JC Jewelers in Winter Haven, Florida to have a 10 karat gold bracelet repaired…read more To replace the clasp they wanted to charge $407. I'd asked about selling it and they would only give me $400 (hmmm - no brainer). I decided to solder it instead. I'm advising you, the consumer, to shop around on better gold prices if you're selling. Additionally, I was looking to replace the wedding band that my husband lost with a gold and diamond ring. We found one that was nice and similar. The cost was approximately $800. The receipt stated that it was a 14 karat gold and diamond ring. When I home I looked through a loop that I have and the ring was not stamped anywhere. I believe the law mandates all jewelry needs to be marked. I returned the ring to advise that I have no idea what Kt this ring is. The sales woman told me it's right on the receipt, it's 14kt. I stated it may be on the receipt but it's not in the ring. She took the ring to the office where the jeweler was and how ironic he said return the money even though the receipt states "no returns for money only store credit". Just advising, if you do business with this company, please check your product while you are there.

I went in to Select Orlando to check out their selection. I was interested in trading my watch…read morewhich was just not very comfortable. A little history (to the best of my knowledge) to help you understand what this place is about... Select is ran by David "davidsw" and a partner or two who sell watches online (not sure who is involved or at what level - maybe it is just David). They are the largest and most trusted "forum" seller(s) in the business. Perform a google search of "davidsw" if you need more tangible proof. Also, they are one of the largest online sellers in the world. They deal in high end watches (primarily Rolex, AP, Patek, etc.). I went in with little expectation of making a transaction. However, after working with David and his team, we reached an agreement and I couldn't be happier. I had to leave the shop for a few minutes to grab some cash from the ATM and my original watch box and papers from the car. I left the watch behind for them to review without a care in the world as David's reputation is just that good. Also, it is important to note that they are not affiliated with the brands they sell. They are not trained salesman as you would find in an authorized dealer. They don't try to sell you and they are not pretentious or judgmental. On the contrary, they are down to earth individuals who love and flip watches for a living. They run their business the right way with the right virtues. They are fair, honest and knowledgeable. It is always recommended to go buy from an authorized dealer, which is considerably more expensive. If you decide to go 2nd hand, gray market, online, etc. go directly to davidsw.com or take a trip to his shop in Orlando. It will save you time, money and stress. His watches are 100% authentic and he has a crazy selection.

I drove down the street from the seller and did a quick review of leather restoration contractors in the area. Based on reviews alone, I immediately reached out to Ernesto and he answered on the first try! After explaining the situation, he agreed to review pics. Within 5 minutes he responded with a thorough explanation of the items authenticity, and provided recommendations on next steps to restore. He told me it was a greay opportunity for a one of a kind piece of furniture. I asked him for a quote and jumped at the opportunity to schedule the work. The quote was that reasonable. I figured what did I have to lose? We scheduled an appointment to complete the work within the week. His business is completely mobile which is an added plus. He arrived on time with tools and equipment. He estimated 2 1/2 hours to complete the job - it was completed in two hours and 15 minutes. I watched the entire process as he transformed dirty, damaged leather and brought it back to life. Absolutely fascinating melting leather, sanding, buffing, dying. I hope I'm not giving away trade secrets!! It was like magic to say nothing of how charming, neat, professional, and courteous Ernesto is. it was the most delightful experience with a contractor that I have had in a very long time. I highly recommend Ernesto for his deep domain expertise in this niche leather restoration market - absolutely incredible. And to top it off, he says he could've made it look even better, but he was conscious of my budget. I just had to laugh because it looks like new now. Super well done Ernesto. Thank you.
