Good: Location, location, location - perfect for visiting Lost Maples State Park which we were lucky to get into before capacity closes Grounds are rich with treessmall river & amenities such as "ring of fire", outdoor seating, fireplace, WiFi & library Bad: Busted multiple front porch screens The relatively high bath tub can a bit dangerous for "Seniors" like us, in excess of 70+ years (maybe our group minority) - and for outside shower was a bit too cold! Now raw turned wood countertops that have not been re-stained nor sealed with Urethane can easily grow/ house bacteria Lighting issues above sink & DR table Barbecue: "We do not have charcoal nor lighter fuel, but we have matches in kitchen - bring your own" - really? Ugly: My goodness, how old are these ridiculous mattresses - Civil War?? You must replace these collector item mattresses. There is no way to ask paying folks to sleep on these!!! read more

Great get-a-away near Lost Maples. Very quaint cottage with all amenities. You feel secluded, even though you are within a 15 min drive to restaurants, etc. Wi-Fi is spotty and cell phone reception is non existent. There is a phone on the premises for emergency and to let your family know you arrived safely. Only drawback is that beds were a bit hard and pillows were very flat. Next time I'll just bring my own pillows as this place is definitely on my come back list. read more
