Something helpful I learned from the dealership where I purchased my car is that if you have a vehicle that was declared a total loss, you can bring the declaration letter along with the necessary documentation and receive a credit toward the registration and tag for your new vehicle. In my case, I received about a $40 credit, which was a nice surprise. The office was fairly busy when I arrived, but the line was moving steadily and efficiently. I was assisted by a pleasant young lady named Jazmine, who was incredibly patient as I gathered and provided all of the documents needed. Her calm attitude and kind service helped lower my stress level quite a bit, and I was truly grateful for her help.

I had lost my wallet at home and was trying to get everything taken care of. She explained the newer document rules to prove identity, such as needing things like a birth certificate, and she was very helpful and polite. A friend who was with me asked if there was anything else that might work, such as an old driver's license, and Toni kindly checked and let us know that would help. I came back with it and was able to get my replacement license. Later, she even stopped by and kindly asked if I got my license. I told her yes, and that she was a really nice lady. On the way we received a text with a link to check in for the appointment - but when they arrived, the building was CLOSED. A line was outside with people who had appointments. After all the preparation we had done, it is absolutely ridiculous that we were able to schedule an appointment, receive confirmation AND check-in information when the building wasn't even going to be open that day. We are furious. This service is funded BY taxpayers FOR taxpayers and yet the taxpayers seem to be the last people considered here. This kind of crap has become accepted in the community because "this is just how government operates." Absolutely unacceptable. If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband and I both work full time outside the home and don't have many days we can use during the work week away from our jobs. This is shockingly absurd and infuriating.
