This place is a bit of a lifesaver - I don't tend to go to 'the doctor' so this centre which is…read morejust down the road from me is perfect. I have bad heat intolerance so only tend to be on the move very early in the morning or later in the evenings in the warmer months so the hours of operation suit me down to the ground. I did some damage to my elbow last year (shattered one of the bones and so the ligaments and muscles weren't my biggest fans) and so I went to see a doctor because it became VERY sore which worried me. I was x-rayed but when it showed nothing, because of my obvious pain and discomfort, the Dr took me in to have an ultrasound done and lo and behold, my pain was explained. He was so very interested and caring...such a rare thing for a doctor to have in this 'time is money' world we now live in. The only complaint I have had with this Med Centre has been the attitudes of the females on the phones and on the reception - I know it is busy there, and some people can test one's patience, but every patient is a customer and really needs a smile and a helping hand when they've come to see a doctor.....but most of the people I have dealt with there have been really very good...but, of course, we just all have our 'off' days. This is the only medical centre I will go to - and happily. ;)

If I could give less stars I would. This "medical clinic" could not care less about your health and…read moreonly care about their back pockets the staff are either incompetent or lazy I'm not sure which yet. Their phone service is next to impossible and here's a hack of you want to get through push number zero not one and you normally get straight through I was denied help and was forced to go to hospital it's no wonder the hospital system is clogged up as places like this are PURELY TO BLAME for their lack of treatment

How can you not give a service that saves lives five stars and the Red Cross have been doing since…read moreforever. I first came here as a kid with my Mum who would donate whole blood once every three months. Things have changed now and you can donate plasma once a month now. You can even keep track of there mobile services that travel all over Adelaide metropolitan area. I have donated ever since I was able, this being the ripe old age of 16. The wonderful volunteer staff, all of who average around 70 years young, will seve you a treat for your service at the end of your donation. This includes a very generous allowance of a Coopers Pale Ale, but they have soft drinks and juices. Get them on a good day and you can get yourself a sandwich or a piece of cake. This depends on what has been prepared for the day. I can never go past the cheese and biscuits though.

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service always needs blood donors so if you don't have a needle…read morephobia, get on in to Pirie Street and give them some of the red stuff. People keen to donate blood should be aware there are some restrictions on who can and can't give blood so to find out if you're eligible, go to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service's website and take their quick online quiz. A few facts to convince you about the importance of donating ... Australians need over 26,000 blood donations each and every week. When you consider that a single donation can potentially save three lives it becomes all the more significant. Giving blood will take around one hour of your time, no financial outlay and your donation may mean there are three people walking around happy and healthy, thanks to you. Once you've donated, your own blood volume will be completely restored within 24 - 48 hours. Whether you blood type A, B, O or AB, all blood groups will be a match for someone in need. Parking can be tricky in the city but there is some parking set aside for donors. You need to make an appointment to give blood and the website is the best way to do that. As they say ... give blood, give life.
