10/11 Took the day off from work and treated myself to an hour of grounding, yet spiritually-lifting mass at Chandler's beautiful (both interior and exterior) St. Andrew the Apostle. Father Coleman was once again a delight to hear, and the adult choir and accompanying band of talented musicians always bring joy to my soul- I am ever enthralled watching the pianist perform! Took a few photos of the Prayer Garden, installed by Father Joe, who retired in 2007. Hope you enjoy!

There's an incredible amount of young adults that go to their church which was awesome to see. The reason I give only 3 stars is because of the children's ministry. They were super friendly when I was dropping my 2nd grader off for the first time, but when I picked him up, I was bummed to see him sitting alone and no teachers around him. I was a bit late to get him, because I was talking, but I have served at many churches and no matter how late the parents are, the volunteers do not leave the children. He wasn't the last kid picked up and completely alone, but in the 2nd grade "area" it was just him with no adults. Also when we were walking out, the person I gave my tag too kind of ignored us and when I said thanks and goodbye, she just continued to talk to her friends that were nearby. So in a way I felt like people were kind and friendly, but not as welcoming as I hoped for a first time person. Wanting to try the church again and hopefully it will feel different next time.

The community here is strong, authentic, and full of people who are kind, encouraging, and focused on living out their faith. What stands out most is the teaching. The sermons are rooted in the Gospel, biblically sound, practical, and easy to apply to everyday life. You can tell the leadership genuinely cares about helping people grow spiritually rather than just putting on a service. The atmosphere is uplifting without feeling fake or overly polished. There's a real sense of humility, purpose, and love for God and people. The children's programs are also fantastic, and it's clear they invest heavily in families and the next generation. If you're looking for a church with solid Gospel teaching, meaningful community, and a welcoming environment, I highly recommend visiting. We're very thankful we found this place.

There are a lot of opportunities for community at New Valley. We have regular women and men's events, as well as a robust children's and youth ministries. I personally have enjoyed attending our women's retreat and spring fling. I have made my closest friends through serving at the church and being part of my gospel community group. If you are a Christian looking for a church or someone curious to see what Jesus is all about, I'd highly recommend checking out New Valley.
